    D&D 5E (2014) Fantasy Appalachia

My personal local pronunciation oddity in southern UK is the village of Trotiscliffe, which is pronounced Tros-lee.

D&D General The D&D We Played in 2022

DM-ed the Saltmarsh Campaign for my in-person group to the finish and have just started The Scarlet Citadel for the same group (of players that is; new characters) In the same group, I’ve played in Odyssey of the Dragonlords, run by @TheSword and in Mad Mage. Online, I’ve played in the...

3PP Release (3rd Party Book Release) Paranormal Power: A Psionics Option for 5e and A5e, written by Steampunkette!

Just my tuppence worth to support: Steampunkette is brilliant. She is an awesome DM, with an engaging and involving style. Incredibly creative and a writer of true talent. She’s also a great person. I truly hope that lots of people will get behind this Kickstarter. It will be superb!

    D&D 5E (2014) Favourite 5e Standalone Adventures

Funnily enough, I’m currently using White Plume Mountain with my two grandkids and my wife, and we’re having a great time. Like you, I hadn’t played it since I was a teen. I’ve used Steading of the Hill Giant Chief a couple times as a one-off, altering the drow-influenced bits to fit the actual...

Big fan of inclusive artwork. Well done for doing this.

RPG Evolution - True Tales from Stranger Things: The Satanic Panic Comes to School

MG sounds like a pretty foul person with nasty, conspiracy-style views; if you were in the US, I’d wonder whether your MG was missing a T?

The Mask of Mask (updated 01/21/2023)

    TSR AD&D 1e MMIII?

This book is so beautiful, both in itself and for the memories it evokes. Thanks for sharing.

D&D General "illusionists and witches" in upcoming release...circa 1979

The Witch did appear in one of the Dragon magazines. I can’t remember which one, but they were designed as opponents and were absolutely terrifying. I remember narrowly escaping a TPK from the Witches of Marmon in the Wilderlands. Must have been early 1980s.

    D&D 5E (2014) Zombies: Sink or Swim?

Zombie-infested seaweed rafts, similar to the Sargasso Sea, but undead.

These creatures just scream (or rather, howl) horror-based games.

D&D General (+) What Should Go in a D&D Book About Dungeons?

Specific stuff on natural cave systems and the various hazards they contain. Including flooding, crawl spaces, getting stuck etc.

Thousand Year Old Vampire: Guillaume d'Orléans

Adding my thanks too. A great read.

D&D General Dragon Editor-in-Chief Kim Mohan Passes

RIP, Kim Mohan, and thank you for everything you did. D&D touches lives and you were part of making that happen.

TSR The Full & Glorious History of NuTSR

That DHSM post is truly foul. LaNasa must have so much hatred in his heart. The DHSM is nothing to do with our hobby; it’s just a loudhailer for far-right hate speech.

D&D General TSR to WoTC shift--OR--the de-prioritization on Exploration spells/classes

Scouting things out went even further than spells like Wizard Eye. It was possible to seek out and hire sages, who had % chance of knowing things; all used to plan dungeon tactics more effectively. Maybe this was partially linked to roots in wargaming?
