My autistic brain works like that, lol. Once I don't like something, everything related to it enter that "something" area. For my brain, Tymanther is destroyed. I can try to think otherwise, but I know it will be difficult to change that idea. It happened the same with Dragon Age The Veilguard...

I lost the interest, sadly. It will be very difficult for me to regain it. My brain has been always like that.

I wasn't insulting, so I apologize if you feel that way. Thought, if I "read" as insulting, it's because I'm not happy. It's not an easy thing to process that your 14 years old campaign is now dead. I will heal, over time. But today the wound hurts.

Good for you. That is still different than to say you like garbage.

There are native dragonborn in Toril too, but they are extremely rare. Abeir is world controlled by dragons, and so dragonborn outnumber humans in that planet. The dragonborn from Tymanther came specifically from there.

Besides acknowledging Tymanther (now destroyed) came from there, nothing else.

Calimshan is Disneyland for slavers. Or at least, it was before this book.

This is even worse. Dragonborn, the most anti slavery of all the Realms races, now serving the slavelords of the Realms. Like, they not only destroyed the country, also the lore... And people asks why I lost interest...

The peculiarities of the autistic brain. I just lost the interest. I will have to process this at my own pace.

Perhaps, when I feel less... Betrayed, I may choose that, now. For now, I'm thinking about dropping Forgotten Realms for good, lol. I have a 14 years old semi-ongoing campaign there, but like, I lost the interest, lol

I don't see this as something different...

They destroyed Tymanther. Told ya. My sixth sense never fails when is something I know I won't like...

Just from this map, seems they removed the lakes from the area Tymanther was supposed to be located. I don't want to sound pessimistic, but as an autistic person, it's a big let down to see they removed the area I was hyper focused on, lol. But, there are still a couple of weeks left to see...

D&D General If Nentir Vale were in the Forgotten Realms, where would they be?

Destroyed by the Bloodspear horde. We can visit the ruins some day ;)

D&D General If Nentir Vale were in the Forgotten Realms, where would they be?

IIRC, the intended area for the Nentir Vale may have been the region around the town of Loudwater, as that was the starting area of the Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide, and, at the time, people mentioned how similar this town was to Fallcrest. I believe (and this is my personal guest) that...
