Because Psions are expected to do a lot of the Telepathy thing, they are expected to have many of the same Enchantment spells that Wizards and Bards get. We're at a point that if there's a new Enchantment spell it's a definite "gimme that" for the Bard and the Psion.

The ability to bypass magic in earlier editions combined with the DM having to learn a completely new system lead to an instant ban of Psionics. Now the only reason for banning psionics by a DM will be for completely thematic reasons.

I'm happy they decided to ignore those complaining about spell slots. Now the Psion just needs some more refinements and fine tuning. Yes Ego Whip is bad, especially compared to Silvery Barbs which would be something that Psions should get on their spell list if they really wanted to bring...

I don't remember mentions of Innistrad in any upcoming MtG releases, but I'm guessing that world would be a Domain of Dread in Shadowfell if they're going to do a D&D/Magic tie-in.

I think the improvements the tattooed Monk needs is to get something combat related at level 6 with those celestial tattoos. Or maybe combine Celestial Tattoo and Nature Tattoo at 6th level, get Monster Tattoo at 11th level, and something else at level 17 like some sort of ultimate form.

I think there's more of Ars Magica in Vampire: The Masquerade and Mage: The Ascension than in D&D. After all that's where the Tremere and Order of Hermes came from.

It doesn't when applied to certain music genres, but ironically enough adding the -core suffix might cause whatever music genre it's describing to lose all meaning.

The most Victorian D&D settings are Ravenloft with certain domains and Planescape with specifically how Sigil is (such as The Cant which is heavily based on Cockney Rhyming Slang). But I wouldn't consider Ravenloft at least to be Steampunk, the Victorian domains are just "Gothic Horror"...

They outright said that default D&D is in the Renaissance at least. From the interview about the PHB, it was said to be the reason why there were firearms. And that's consistent since Plate Mail was invented around the same time Firearms were invented in the real world.

They might say "Use Orc stats for Muls" it would be lazy, but I don't think this time they haven't completely ruled out using as much as possible from the PHB.
