This community is so helpful! I'm not surprised given the whole SD vibe but I am grateful. BTW, my own plug for anyone looking for a long SD adventure is Shrine of the Jaguar Princess. I would run that but it is too high a level and way too long for a 4-hr one-shot introductory adventure...

And then their creature type would change to "aberration," totally changing what can/can't affect them.

I believe it is specifically designed for multiclass characters, magic initiate, or druid subclasses that provide extra attack. It is very underpowered otherwise.
