What VTT(s) do you most dislike and why? (Defenders welcome to defend)

Okay, but you are going to be limiting yourself. It reminds me of the Linux folks always kvetching about one software developer or another not supporting Linux. It just doesn't make business sense for most to do so. And with an Internet browser, you can have multiple browsers installed. I avoid...

What VTT(s) do you most dislike and why? (Defenders welcome to defend)

I heard a little bit about this for the short period of time I was following some Roll20 Reddits, but I never grokked what the kerfuffle was about. From what I recall, Roll20 was over aggressive with forum moderation, banning some users for asking questions. That and overall rude treatment of...

What VTT(s) do you most dislike and why? (Defenders welcome to defend)

Yours may have been the worst, but your still a hero for getting that far!

    What's your VTT of choice?

I think what differentiated Roll20 is that it was entirely in the cloud and you only needed an internet browser. Map Tools, Fantasy Grounds, and d20pro (I'm not familiar with Battlegrounds) all require both the DM and players to install software. Roll20 may not have been the only fully cloud...

What VTT(s) do you most dislike and why? (Defenders welcome to defend)

I didn't try DMing in Roll20 long enough to appreciate the difference. How does it handle the various objects? The only complaint I have with items in Foundry (and actors, scenes, tables...all the objects) is that things can get messy quickly and managing items and other objects in your world...

Dungeons & Dragons Dumps Disclaimers From Book Credits Page

I finally got the new MM and started browsing it last night. The first thing I looked for was the disclaimer in the credits and was a little bummed that there wasn't one. Overall, not a big deal. But I did enjoy them.

    What's your VTT of choice?

I'd have to play around. I'm not sure I would want to try to type such rolls into a chat. I would use macros. I see that there is a Hero System game system for foundry. It'll be interesting to create a world in that system and see how they handled it.

What VTT(s) do you most dislike and why? (Defenders welcome to defend)

A number of VTTs brought up here that I've not played around with. Life's busy at the moment, but I'm interested in trying some of them. I've been hearing a lot about Talespire. I've yet to dive into a 3D VTT (other than playing around with mods for Foundry, which is a rabbit hole of...

    How often do you play?

I just like the immersion it lends. But, to be honest, I probably get 6 hours of gaming in an 8 hour session. It is a time to hang out with friends, so there is time to grab lunch, some chat at the top and at the end. But I feel I get that in 6, 4, or 3 hours. I don't like feeling that we are...

RPG Evolution: Game Cancelled, Now What?

There are no cancellations only rescheduling. My group doesn't have a regular schedule, there is no way we could all commit to a schedule. At the end of each game session we select a Saturday in the next month that works for all of us. When we started 10 years ago, I ran my campaign so that...

    How often do you play?

Once a month. An 8-hour game. I'd rather run one longer game than two shorter games. I would like to play more frequently but it is hard to regularly schedule a weekly or biweekly game, whereas we've been able to find one Saturday a month to play for the last 10 years.

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

Well, while I enjoy playing all kinds of TTRPGs, and do not look down on my friends who got really into VtM TTRPGs and LARP, I have to say Zardnaar's comment got a LOL from me. Those who remember the pretension in some VtM communities in the early '90s get it. I just read Z's comment as similar...

WotC Mike Mearls: "D&D Is Uncool Again"

Glad to hear it! I mean, I love good science fiction, but I'm very picky with sci fi when it comes to books (not so much for TV & film), but I'll happily enjoy even "bad" fantasy pulp.

What VTT(s) do you most dislike and why? (Defenders welcome to defend)

This may be a strange topic, but I like discussing VTTs and have participated in a number of threads asking for VTT recommendations or about what VTTs folks are currently using. I've used a lot of VTTs over the years and I realize that there are none that I can say I "hate" and even none that I...

    What's your VTT of choice?

Foundry's support for different dice rolling processes is pretty darn extensive. If you are so inclined, I would be interested if you could provide a few examples of the more idiosyncratic dice-rolling processes. I'd be interesting in seeing if I can make it work only using dice formulae typed...

    What's your VTT of choice?

Kinda. But no. Without a single mod installed, Foundry is by far offers the best battlemap prep experience of any VTT I've tried, and I've put a lot of hours in to all the major VTTs and many of the less popular ones. Next, it depends on the game system. Pathfinder 2e and WFRP4e offer very well...
