D&D 5E (2024) Testing against the Gold Dragon

Possibly they didn't think would be a fight? Something happened to change that that they weren't prepared for?

    D&D 5E (2014) Don't Throw 5e Away Because of Hasbro

WOTC isn't sharing these stat blocks out of the goodness of their heart (and I guess that means I hope they have disclaimers in each article saying they have a financial interest in releasing these stat blocks) but to drum up interest / encourage people to buy the monster manual, suggesting that...

What are you reading in 2025?

Have you read Colleen McCullough's First Man in Rome series? Historical fiction and certainly not unbiased in how the famous people are portrayed, but still i found quite a fascinating read covering the likes of Marius, Sulla, Pompey, Julius Caesar etc. I found it somewhat of a slow read...

    D&D 5E (2014) Don't Throw 5e Away Because of Hasbro

It was blown out of proportion, with a lot of false information overstating what occurred/ straight misinformation, which the person responded to. Nonetheless, WOTC still hired Pinkertons, that is a fact, and I think people are fine to have a problem with who WOTC chose to use.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Not sure where else to put this, but I am enjoying the various gamebook / crpg run through that people are doing, even if it is affecting my dreams (dreamt about one gamebook runthrough where any combat was done through the gold box crpgs)

    [Fighting Fantasy] Bloodsword v1

Option 1 does seem clear winner, don't think theat option occurred to me when younger! Though I likely had the warrior in position 1.

Henry Cavill's Warhammer 40K Show Is Happening

Maybe we aren't as far apart as I thought, I guess I feel if enough control by those evil people/ enough evil acts enabled (as any society will have some people committing evil i fear) it creates situation that Imperium as a whole can be described as evil. As a whole I don't think evil is as...

Henry Cavill's Warhammer 40K Show Is Happening

Yeah, I think the Genestealers open up some interesting philosophical questions around what is best approach, like if the Xenomorphs managed to achieve similar. Nonetheless, when the Imperium then allows for people to effectively seed genestealers on a planet to allow for breeding / observation...

Henry Cavill's Warhammer 40K Show Is Happening

Ultimately good, evil, bad are all somewhat nebulous concepts (after all, what is it about these things that make them really really bad, and not evil?) But using definition of evil being morally repugnant, I find attempting genocide on a group of people to be morally repugnant and thus evil...

Henry Cavill's Warhammer 40K Show Is Happening

Your first 3 examples weren't around when the Imperium formed / became what it is, so aren't a defense for how it operated for thousands of years before they emerged. The latter ones weren't enough of a threat to stop the likes of the Interex doing well prior to the Imperium itself becoming an...
