For the time being, yes. I wouldn't be surprised to see giants similar to D&D giants to pop up in various planes, particularly Dominaria or Kaldheim. Edited because brain moves faster than fingers.

Overall, I do like this UA. I do think that things can be tuned up a little bit, but we have a good start. As far as what kind of book the contents will be in...a giant book or a new campaign setting are both good options at this point. A Kaldheim release isn't outside of the realm of...

Three things: First, that statue is beyond excellent! Second, how likely could there be a Vecna-themed AP this year that could get announced at the Wizards event? (probably low) Third, how about a big Vecna AP that gets released with the updated rules for the 50th anniversary?

I would absolutely love for Wizards to announce some of their 2023/2024 slate, but that is so outside of what we're used to with them and I don't want to get my hopes up for it. They'll definitely talk a lot about Dragonlance though, that's a given!

Eh, we'll see. Something tells me they don't want to attempt a full psion again and we're stuck with the subclasses that I'm not a fan of, and that would be the main thing Dark Sun would need. My opinion, of course.

In a module or two, yes. But they were not prominent. The xixchil (sp?) and rastipedes (also sp?) at least were in the Spacefarer's Handbook.

I'm wondering the same thing. I was almost sure that including the thri-kreen in the Spelljammer UA meant Dark Sun was on the horizon, but including them in the SJ book (along with those Dark Sun minis) makes me think it's off the table. I may still keep hope alive, though!

I'm pretty sure they took out the side effects of leaving the Astral Plane. It's not mentioned in the DMG in this edition. If it was still there, all those Githyanki leaving to do anything would have a very bad day.
