Can you clarify what you mean by soulless? Is it the language used? The rules themselves? The setting? A combination? Something else? Note that I haven't read Shadowdark as such and don't run it, but have watched Shadowdark video content/reviews.

I think they have serious flaws and things I hate about them, so I can see why others dislike them. But overall I did enjoy them both as well. Prometheus is my guilty pleasure.

I'll agree the 3rd one wasn't as good as the first two, but I still think all 3 alien movies ever made are good. I'm just glad they stopped instead of doing silly stuff like resurrecting Ripley or having space plot goo.

That's actually pretty funny, because the wight's monster category is "enchanted", even though it shouldn't count as enchanted due to being vulnerable to silver. Lycanthropes are also listed as enchanted creatures, even though the spell description specifically mentions a werewolf as an example...

In Rules Cyclopedia for Basic D&D, the description of protection of evil states enchanted creatures include monsters that can only be damaged by magical weapons. So that would include wights and vampires. And enchanted creatures cannot attack a person affected by the spell in melee. So this may...
