allo i don't hate specialization at all. choose divination and you only have to choose one prohibited school! specialization rocks!! messy :cool:

at every even-numbered fighter level, choose a bonus feat. at every odd-numbered fighter level, choose a fighter training (+1 to initiative, dodge, reflex saves, or will saves; each can be chosen multiple times, stacking). add heal, senses, and tumble as class skills. messy :cool:

(i haven't read the entire thread, so if i repeat someone else's point, please forgive me). if a player is planning their character's career, that shows a level of interest and imagination that should never be discouraged. er, IMO :) messy

allo let's say bob the fighter attacks fred the barbazu with a +1 flaming longsword. fred has damage reduction 5/silver or good, and no resistance to fire. bob hits, and rolls 4 for longsword damage and 3 for fire damage. does fred's damage reduction apply to the entire attack...

hey, i'm a "tweener." i liked the gnomes and hamsters for their cuteness and silliness i didn't like the guns (seemed out of place, even in a setting with space-traveling ships), the giff (wtf?), and the multitude of weird monsters (mind flayers, etc., which are a little too weird for me)...

i like drizzt, but i got tired of his moping. yeah, he's cool with the scimitars, but he became a cliche. i always preferred bruenor. at least the dwarf had a sense of humor :-)
