Pathfinder 2E Is this a fair review of PF2?

Well you could include the MAP in the numbers on the sheet, by having three lines for each weapon strike entry. I know the official sheet doesn't support that, but could be a good idea.

    Lost Omens: Legends Review

I am generally impressed by the PF2 art. Although I love much of the 5e art (Tyler Jacobson's covers are amazing), PF2 puts up a fight.

Pathfinder 2E Is this a fair review of PF2?

Well, I guess that depends on what you mean by "compete with 5E". I would say that PF2e being D&D-like but much crunciher, more tactical and with way more options is definitely competing with 5e. Further, if Paizo had made PF2e a total depature from their past, I'm sure they would have...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5e Surprise and Hiding Rules Interpretation

Yup. I listened to that as well. I also read the Sage Compendium, and you are correct that "you aren’t surprised if even one of your foes fails to catch you unawares". So it seems to support your case. He also does mention though, that stealth in general is in the DM's hands. I would have like...

Paizo So how are P2 and Starfinder doing?

I am currently DM'ing 5e ToD, but seeing how my group enjoys the tactical aspect of combat, I am considering PF2. I have bought the CB, the Plagustone book, and the first part of the AoA Adventure Path. Reading the stuff, I am impressed by it, and am looking forward to trying it with the group...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5e Surprise and Hiding Rules Interpretation

They are two orthogonal concepts. Surprise is binary, between two sides. Either you are surprised or not. You can't be surprised by some and not by others. Whether somebody is hidden is not binary. Some can be hidden, others might not. It is not a requirement that all memebers of a party are...

    D&D 5E (2014) 5e Surprise and Hiding Rules Interpretation

Being hidden and surprise are two different things. You can surprise someone, without being hidden.

WotC New WotC Statement on Orion Black

I think Wizards will withdraw a bit. It’s simply too much of a risk interacting with fans directly given how abysmal the community acts on Twitter. It is so non constructive and nothing but a performative yelling match.

WotC New WotC Statement on Orion Black

Yeah. I pretty much can’t stand following the D&D community on twitter anymore. It’s totally out of hand and people are acting ridiculous. Seems like there’s no adults in the room.

WotC Dungeons & Dragons Fans Seek Removal of Oriental Adventures From Online Marketplace

This Jackie Chan movie should be taken down. It's like he doesn't know chop sticks are for eating only. Such a racist. And yes, sarcasm.

What do you find so problematic about the books so they need to be removed?

Thanks for the list. Honestly don't understand this outrage. Guess they haven't watched a Jackie Chan movie. The book seems more like something that came out of love. Love for Japan and the other Asian countries. Written in a different time. The dudes behind that YouTube video, could just as...

Could not agree more. 58 pages, and almost no mentioning of what is so bad in this book. Talk about much ado about nothing.

WotC Dungeons & Dragons Fans Seek Removal of Oriental Adventures From Online Marketplace

Ok. Thanks for the cliff notes 🙂 It doesn't make this whole thing less confusing for me. It seems there is very little discussion of the actual content here, and instead a lot of abstract discussion. That's fine I guess, but what about arguing for the books removal based on its actual content...

Release Monte Cook’s Numenera setting comes to 5e with Beneath the Monolith

Choice is good. More people will play the setting now probably. And perhaps that results in some conversions?

WotC Dungeons & Dragons Fans Seek Removal of Oriental Adventures From Online Marketplace

I am curious, since I have not read the book. What is the problem with OA? I have read most of this thread, and other stuff, but haven't found anything beyond the word oriental. Looking up "oriental" I can see it means somebody form the far east, and is now "considered offensive when used to...

D&D 5E (2014) How should be the future Oriental Adventures.

But not all asians are saying that. Some even the opposite! Also you just tell people what to do. Not very constructive.

    D&D 5E (2014) Orion Black No Longer a D&D Designer [UPDATED!]

Look it's about due diligence. Of course a company is gonna check this stuff out: if you have written something on twitter, or published or book or made a movie - whatever - it will all be taken into account. That's what recruiters and HR people do. And are expected to do. And I can promise you...

D&D 5E (2014) Is Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden the New D&D Adventure?

Yeah! I would kill for a Dungeon magazine in print. It would never happen, but damn would be nice.
