I used to read & collect TONS of comics up until the late 1990s, then pared it back to a few titles. I don’t think I’ve bought any since the end of the 20th century.
I still look at the images & so forth online because Supers is my favorite RPG genre, but I’m not buying anymore.
There used to be a time when I could hum the music to my favorite games. I can still hear those tunes in my head.
But 99%+ of my gaming the past 10 or more years has been on mobile devices, and I usually play those with ALL the sound off.🤷🏾♂️

I agree. Even a cursory examination of the major titles of comic book history will reveal pulp, fantasy, horror, sci fi, westerns, noir, soap and other influences. Several venerable titles include multiples.
