    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Do you mean the rankings of the "Examples" or the ranking of the Tiers themselves? The Tiers/Divine Ranks are set up to parallel the 1-20 Class Levels with the ranks continuing to 30 (anything higher is hypothetical) to evoke the Challenge Ratings going to 30. Each Divine Rank is indirectly...

    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Merry Christmas all! :giggle: Was wondering what the best way to explain the God Tiers for the Kickstarter (or website) and quickly put the following together. I know its very garish (and not even sure why I included the Ultral Tier), this page is not part of the book itself, just curious to...

    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Cheers amigo. About 90% of it seems fairly straightforward. Stretch Goals typically have a dollar basis, when I probably need 500+ Hardcover Copy backers to make all the fulfillment and better quality print job financially viable. Composing the "Story" and having all the relevant images and...

    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Okay I had a look earlier and got to the Rewards section, I'll fill out the rest tomorrow morning. If I have any issues I will message you amigo. I set the launch for 1st of March, 30 days with a $5000 goal (that should definitely give me enough time to finish everything no problems). One thing...

    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Maybe that is the best way to go about it. At the moment Kickstarter just has that unknown factor, which is putting me off at a time when I don't know what the sales will be. I was just thinking when I see the Drivethrurpg sales for this book I will have a good idea what the sales for future...

    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Hey all! :) Posting this here (rather than the Immortals Handbook 5E Player's Guide thread) because: A: GOD RULES is the "brand name" for the 5e Epic/Immortal rules, not Immortal's Handbook B. I think the previews in that thread were from several years ago and have zero relevance to the...

Immortals Handbook: Gods & Monsters 5E Early Preview (Feedback encouraged)

Hey Akira Whitlock amigo! Absolutely awesome! I'm very close to getting into that "last 4 weeks phase". I'm hopeful I'll have it on sale sometime in February 2025...but don't tell anyone I said that yet...you guys know what I'm like. :censored: I cut out a bunch of stuff that was really...

From the mind of the Lonely of Providence, fear the Great Old One and Outer God (template)

That's a crazy stat-block Obly amigo...though I suppose anything to do with Nyarlathotep SHOULD be crazy. I was thinking the Uvuudaum might be Fragments of Nyarlathotep or beings that entered the Far Realm who met the Crawling Chaos.

    Avatar Questions...

There is an element of simplification to it all. Using the Hindu model all the Avatars could be unique creatures, indeed creating the Avatar is creating an immortal being two ranks below the deity themselves. The Avatars do not need to be copies of the god - although that does hasten the...

    Avatar Questions...

Hey FEBF amigo! Not of their own accord. However, its possible they could be corrupted by some outside Elder Evil, Ancient Curse or similar. Its also possible if the deity itself was killed and then brought back after a while (see the new book for more details on that) that the connection...

    Immortals Handbook website back up

Thanks amigo. There must be a way to get them back, not entirely sure how though - its been 13 years since I updated the website. I don't remember much about it. 🙈

D&D General Questions about comissioning art

Also not sure if this helps but I always do a thumbnail sketch about 20% size for my artists with notes and arrows, laid out on a grid. They typically comeback with their preliminary sketch. If I need any changes I load that into Photoshop and highlight changes over their sketch and send it...

D&D General Questions about comissioning art

I've never experienced anything like that. I only recall 1 item taking more than 2 weeks and that was a cover image with an especially tricky pose - that ended up taking 4 weeks or so and during that time the same artist was working on another piece for me.

D&D General Questions about comissioning art

I must have contacted around 80+ artists on Artstation, Deviant Art, Facebook and Instagram for either commissioned or licensed work on my new 5E book. I would say about a third replied, and of those that replied I was able to come to terms with maybe half of them (the rest were typically too...

D&D General The purpose of deity stats in D&D.

With multiple options GMs can always pick and choose. FR seems like the sort of closed Cosmology you mentioned previously with AO the tier above. Is it mentioned anywhere Zagyg siphoned power from any of the imprisoned Immortals & Demon Princes? Presumably at the very least he would have...

D&D General The purpose of deity stats in D&D.

We know that some deities gain power from worship (and seek that worship as a consequence), we also know immortals (in their totality) do not necessarily require worship to exist (as many don't look for it). Therefore the relevant question is not "do immortals require worship?" but "what do...

D&D General The purpose of deity stats in D&D.

Its such a darn good story, I love it to bits. The three Asgardians guarding the throne of Odin knowing they have no chance of survival just to stop Set sitting on it still gives me goosebumps to this day. Plus the perspective on the art when Surtur reaches forward to grab Thor has massively...

D&D General The purpose of deity stats in D&D.

Voadam raised the Cosmological issue and I think if you have a limited number of gods they could be the Personifications of those things. However, that would imply (to me) there is nothing above them Cosmologically. Therefore if you have multiple Pantheons, multiple Gods of War (for instance)...

D&D General The purpose of deity stats in D&D.

Its all about facilitating interaction. Well the Pantheons from Deities & Demigods, expounded upon in Manual of the Planes were balanced with each other. As were the Unearthed Arcana Humanoid Pantheons. The Pantheons are also (loosely) balanced against the Demons and the Devils, and presumably...

D&D General The purpose of deity stats in D&D.

Sounds really cool. I was trying to think where I had seen stats for the Canaanite Pantheon, I thought it was one of the Monsters of Myths and Legends from Role-Aids. But while I think they added a few, that wasn't one of them. Not sure if you saw those books back in the day?
