No regional Bastion options. Bastion options are tied to Factions you can join, with each getting a special room. Each of the 5 settings have a cool Bastion location but not special options outside of that.

D&D General Forgotten Realms Books Tables of Contents

The Table of Contents for both Heroes of Faerun and Adventures in Faerun. Picked the books up this morning and love what I’ve seen so far. I’ll answer whatever questions I can here.

D&D General Forgotten Realms Book preview from NYCC

The region backgrounds use PHB origin feats. I can’t remember the Old Empires background exactly but for some reason I think it was lucky. Epic Boons are a mixed bag. Some very good, some seem less than Epic.

D&D General Forgotten Realms Book preview from NYCC

Too many to name for me, but here are some: Some powerful new origin feats, specifically the Spellfire and Zhentarim ones. The General feats are a combo of feats that build on the Faction backgrounds (like a Zhent General feat that requires the Zhent origin as a prereq) and one feat for the 5...

Purple Dragon Knight Retooled as Banneret in D&D's Heroes of Faerun Book

PDK is indeed a background in the new book, but the group does have a tie to Amethyst dragons now. In fact the final faction reward for renown is a dragon egg.

D&D Beyond Releases Free Forgotten Realms Adventure

My guess is they wanted to leave out the adventures specifically tied to the 5 settings, which are the ones with more meat on them.

For what it’s worth, not all of the adventures in the book are this sparse. Interesting they decided to show this one, when some are much more info packed despite being on only one page.

D&D Beyond Releases Free Forgotten Realms Adventure

Having run all 5 of the DMG one page adventures, I think they count as adventures. There’s just enough there to kill 2-3 hours, depending on the adventure in the DMG. Haven’t got to run this one yet, but I did play through the 5 they previewed at GenCon and those all filled a solid 2 hours...

D&D General Weave Your Tale in the Forgotten Realms With 8 Epic Subclasses (D&D Beyond Article)

In Quests from the Infinite Staircase, the group patron of the party is Nafas, a Noble genie with official 5e stats. The book says this about Noble Genie: “Nafas is a noble genie, a rare type of genie endowed with the power to reshape reality. A word uttered by Nafas can transform a pauper...

D&D General Weave Your Tale in the Forgotten Realms With 8 Epic Subclasses (D&D Beyond Article)

It isn’t just “Oath of Genie,” it’s “Oath of the Noble Genie.” Noble Genies are reality shapers, the equivalent of an Archdevil or Demon Lord for the Elemental Planes. Yes, they aren’t deities exactly. But they are close in power to a minor god, so it isn’t that far fetched that they could...

Yes, these books make heavy use of the Renown mechanics in the DMG for both Factions and Religions in the FR. We knew that gaining renown would give benefits for those, but apparently part of that is also adventures.
