Just skimmed through, but early impressions are mixed (lean positive) for me. Species and Backgrounds are very nice, but the General feats are a mixed bag. Some very good, some very bad. Epic Boons are solid. Adventures look fun. But the book is lacking in the layout/art for me.

They are CR 3, with a charm ability that stuns the target and multiattack. Also disadvantage to attack them unless they attacked on their last turn.

Minor stuff. Made them a full species instead of one you can add on, gave them necrotic resistance but removed their ability to not breathe, and that’s largely it. Oh and made Vampiric Bite an unarmed strike instead of a weapon attack.

They aren’t there yet. Probably won’t drop till around 12 which is usually when WotC adds stuff to Beyond.

We must be reading different books. Seems like plenty of hard facts throughout both volumes to me.

That NPC is given the Mage stat block in that adventure for when/if she is unpolymorphed. So effectively Shadovar NPCs just use Humanoid stat blocks.

When they laid out that slate, they did it in August. We are well past that at this point. I think it’s more likely they are going back to solo book announcements.
