D&D 5E (2014) What (if anything) do you find "wrong" with 5E?

Don't even. Your contribution to any thread is always just "Here's what I like!"

D&D 5E (2014) What (if anything) do you find "wrong" with 5E?

I don't think this point has anything to do with 4e.

D&D 5E (2014) What (if anything) do you find "wrong" with 5E?

No. Specificity gives me a reference point for when I might want to change things. Been playing a long time now, mostly as a DM, and I have never found specificity to make things more difficult for me.

D&D 5E (2014) What (if anything) do you find "wrong" with 5E?

Specificity means people come to the game table with the same expectations about how the particular rule works. Hard to see that as overrated, honestly. More importantly though, "Asking the DM" is still there as an option, even with specificity. It's a false dichotomy to say "Asking your DM...

D&D 5E (2014) What (if anything) do you find "wrong" with 5E?

There are no "dead levels" but there are definitely some "on life-support" levels.

    D&D 5E (2014) Is 5E Special

I think this is a key point...a lot of what makes the game work comes from the community (in the face of ambiguous rules or absence of them), and not from the rules-set that people purchase.

    Which VTT do you use?

We have a custom framework in Maptool for our 13th Age game. Works well, but BOY does Foundry look good.

Disney Star Wars Is It Actually That Bad?

If I may, there are definitely some people who disliked TLJ and it had nothing to do with MarySue-ism (I hate the term), the so-called "assassination" of Luke's character (as though people don't change after trauma and even just from getting older!), etc. There are plenty of...

Disney Star Wars Is It Actually That Bad?

I understand the point, but...hadn't it already been made countless times in the Clone Wars series? Maybe the scene was for people who only saw the movies?

    D&D 5E (2014) Is 5E Special

No, I don't believe so. It's an easy-to-learn edition (compared to most others, I suppose), but I don't think the rules-set that people buy created the moment; the "moment" is a result of a lot of outside forces.

    D&D 5E (2014) Toxicity in the Fandom

DMG2 for 4e did a great job in Skill Challenge advice, IMO.

    D&D 5E (2014) Toxicity in the Fandom

I think it's a mistake to assume that the time spent on something other than Spelljammer would be spent on something you'd like. There's no reason to assume that.

Dr Strange 2: In the Multiverse of Madness (Spoilers)

Oh my GOSH, yes. How Stark and Banner didn't end up in front of an international court I have no idea. #Zemowasright

Dr Strange 2: In the Multiverse of Madness (Spoilers)

"Enforce?" It's not even mentioned. No one even says "Wanda, you clearly need help." Nothing. It's not even on the table. This is why we hated the ending of Wandavision in our house*: It's all about the trauma, and no mention of a possible way to deal with it; it ends up just being a thing...

But...is 2 weeks not long enough to make the point?

Dr Strange 2: In the Multiverse of Madness (Spoilers)

Please. Strange made sure people got back with their families. Cap has NO knowledge on how to deal with things of this nature...but if you want to say they'd write it so that he somehow did, fine. Of course, that also means there's no point in talking about whether or not Strange is a good...

Dr Strange 2: In the Multiverse of Madness (Spoilers)

I don't know...I never got the impression that she considered things and concluded that it's ok because they're asleep in their bodies... ...mind you, even if that's the case, it's still really messed up.

Dr Strange 2: In the Multiverse of Madness (Spoilers)

Ok, so...what does she think is happening to the townsfolk? Because there's a moral imperative to ask the question.
