    Fochlucan Lyrist

Warrior, thief, spy, poet, woodland champion -- the Fochlucan lyrist is a legendary figure who serves as the herald and teacher to great kings, the champion of the common folk, and the keeper of lore long forgotten elsewhere. Only the best and brightest are invited to become Fochlucan lyrists...

    Animal PCs?

I'm going to host a one-shot for my young nephews and their dad. One of the notions I had was for the boys to play elf or eladrin brothers and their dad could play . . . the dog. Or wolf, or sidthe-hound. Something like that. My thought is to use all of the "beast form" keyworded druid...

    Hybrid Monks: I know kung-fu

Only thing I'm looking forward to more than monks are hybrid monks. That's how you do a kung fu campaign, boys. Monk/Fighter, Monk/Rogue, Monk/Ranger, Monk/Barbarian . . . heck, do monk / druid and do this five-animals style RIGHT.

    My name is "Defendant Radzikowski"

I don't know . . . maybe I'm just skimming the stuff that seems unimportant. Whether or not any of us agree with copyright laws, there are such things. Whether or not it's fair that Mr. Radzikowski is getting sued, for the time being, he's getting sued. Maybe he's done nothing morally...

    My name is "Defendant Radzikowski"

I'm not sure anyone is criticizing the defendant's alleged actions from a moral standpoint. Rather, there's a good amount of discussion from a legal standpoint, and some pragmatic advice about what to do when you find yourself dealing with a lawsuit (i.e., talk to a lawyer instead of trying to...

    My name is "Defendant Radzikowski"

Brown Jenkin, Mr. Radzikowski might talk to that lawyer and he might give the exact same advice. Still seems like a good idea to talk to that lawyer before he posts about this case. For all I know, his lawyer might agree with every word you say, and even encourage Defendant to go online and...

    My name is "Defendant Radzikowski"

Kids whine when they get into trouble. Grownups shut up and get a lawyer.

    My name is "Defendant Radzikowski"

The fact that some nerds on Enworld might think that a fellow nerd should be allowed to hand around PDFs freely is not news to anyone at Hasbro. The defendant is neither a 12 year old nor a grandma. He may in fact be the average Joe Gamer, and therefore just the guy you sue to make an example...

    My name is "Defendant Radzikowski"

Mods, please lock this thread before this kid says something to make his situation worse. Damador, here's the only free legal advice this lawyer is going to offer: 1. In U.S. courts, the fact that someone is under 18 does not make their testimony inadmissible. 2. Assume that every word...

Why aren't there short, fat PC races?

I've been watching some Legion of Superheroes DVDs with my kid, and thinking about a PC with a Bouncing Boy physique. Looking at the new PHB2, I think a serene Buddha-like deva would work pretty well, as would a stocky bear of a shifter.

    Arcane Power Excerpt: Vestige Pact

Truth. I absolutely loved the Tome of Magic vestige writeups --- bizarre, flavorful, and oftentimes firmly grounded in D&D lore --- but it led to a weird suite of powers for each vestige, and a lot of strange behavior. Took up a lot of space, too. I hope that fluffy article happens, but I can...

    Assassins in PHB3

Not sure I follow. I can see some benefit to teasing things out . . . two new sources in PHB3 and two in PHB4 . . . but some of the earlier power sources are seeming a bit tapped out, and WOTC has made it clear that they are not going to struggle to design every possible role / source...

    Assassins in PHB3

I'm tending to think we'll see shadow, ki, and psionic in PHB III . . . because I think we'll be seeing Dark Sun next year. This may be worthy of a whole separate thread, but I can't see where an elemental power source is needed. The swordmage and sorcerer are already covering a lot of that...

    Assassins in PHB3

The new Dragon article "The Art of the Kill" spells it out. There are "true" assassins, they use the shadow power source, they "can step through walls, blend into the stuff of shadows, alter their appearance at will, and command the gloaming to do their bidding." Maybe we'll also see a...

    The Apprentices: A 1st level all-wizard one-shot

Just kicking this idea around . . . would it work? A mid-level wizard is training a number of apprentices . . . when he's out of town, the kids have to do a little bit of adventuring. I'm thinking that with such an intelligent but vulnerable party, I'd need to emphasize brains over firepower...

What do you think the new setting will be, from Ampersand?

I think they'll just straight-up reboot Dark Sun rather than continue the previous timeline. Not sure where I'm getting that hunch. My sense is that Dark Sun was more about the feel than the specific people / places /events. Better to just reimagine, and build it to better fit the new rules...

What do you think the new setting will be, from Ampersand?

Well, I'd like to see a fresh attempt at Oriental Adventures. Seems like some of the old properties are just too similar to what's been done already. I can't see a 4th edition Greyhawk game session as playing much differently than a 4th edition Realms session. Planescape will be adequately...
