    I HATE the term GISH

I seem to (very vaguely) remember something about half-elves having to choose which side they favoured, human or elven. If they picked human, they could dual-class and could become bards. If they choose their elven side they could multi-class like other demi-humans. But, like I said, it's a...

How can I fix my Will save?

Steadfast Determination (also PHII). It has Endurance as a prerequisite, and let's you use your Con modifier for Will saves. Add Iron Will, and you can also take Indomitable Soul (the feat Grog and blargney the second mentioned).

Human breeding stock required to support Mind Flayer / Illithid Community

Meh, I should have explained myself better. Goblins have often been portrayed as a fecund race in D&D, and I was going on the assumption that illithids require brains of sentient creatures. Obviously, if they don't, there's a huge number of more breeding-efficiant races.

Human breeding stock required to support Mind Flayer / Illithid Community

Yes, my thoughts exactly. Human brain would be considered either a delicacy or something not-so-pleasant (because it's essential in their reproductive cycle). Trolls and hydras are good solutions. I'd say goblins and orcs would fit the bill as well, as would any other naturally short-lived...

    Interrogation and Torture Procedure?

Fiendish Codex II has a sidebar with some guidelines for torture. Haven't really read it, but it's something along the lines of the torturer choosing the intensity of torture, and then the victim get's a Will (Fortitude?) save... Sorry, but I really don't remember the details. Regards.

    Minotaur Legs...

If we're talking standard, MM, not-very-suitable-as-PCs minotaurs, I guess I'd pick hooves (they look monsterier ;) that way). But, if it's a PC-friendly minotaur (a la Dragonlance CS), then I'd go with a combination of two, based on a picture in AD&D 2e Tales of the Lance boxed set --...

    I HATE the term GISH

Right! Thanks! You had to take X (9?) levels in thief, then another Y (5?) levels in fighter, and then you'd go with druid, only at that point, you'd actually become a bard. Or something like that. It's been awhile... Regards.

    I HATE the term GISH

I think it's a combination of two factors: 1) Before 3e, only a small (teeny-tiny?) part of the gaming community was present on-line, meaning that most times a fighter/mage combination was mentioned it was either in person or by actually writing it on paper. When talking, saying fighter/mage...

    I HATE the term GISH

Great. Now every time I hear 'gish' in game (which so far has been... never) I'll be thinking of bichon frises... :P

You've still got 0-level spells, if I'm reading it right. So two spells, one 0-level, one 1st-level. Regards.

    Replacement PCs: what level?

Average party level -1, unless that would put the new character two (or more) levels behind the highest -level character in the party, in which case the new character starts at the lowest level in the party.

Is there a magic item of constant effect True Seeing?

There also the Hathran Mask of True Seeing, from FR's Unapproachable East. It costs 75,000 gp, but UE is a "3.25" product (one of the accessories produced shortly before the release of D&D 3.5), so I'd take it with a grain of salt. Regards.

How Long Do Your Campaigns Last?

Our first 3e campaign started in 2001, and ended early this January, with one original member (a human Fighter 1/Kineticist 1/Psychic Warrior 11) still active (a few others retired, and most died :)) Our 2e campaing before that lasted about three or four years, and characters were in the 9-11...

    When building a new PC...

I mix A and B about equally. We've gotten used to making characters that will cover all the bases (melee-er, healer, blaster, trap-finder/scout), and so we usually start with dividing the bases amongst ourselves, and then building a character around that concept. I usually wait to see what...

How many pages does it take to keep track of your PC's abilities?

That about sums my experience with druids. My 13th-level druid died (in a TPK, more or less) just last session, and I'm looking forward to playing a simpler character (psion or warlock, most likely). Edit: We use a custom single-sheet character sheet, which includes most of the basic character...

What's giving up a familiar worth?

IMO, it's a class ability, and un-tradeable; I'd like to avoid players trading class abilites for feats, if possible ("My cleric doesn't care about undead one way or another, AND has a low CHA, can I trade Turn/Rebuke Undead for a bonus feat?", "My fighter plans to specialise in morningstar, can...

    Warblade and Swordsage: Overpowered?

Nononononono :) I, for one, am still in the fighter-is-balanced camp, but I said my bit. Different people have different values, and nobody is, apparently, changing their minds. My take, since I'm already babbling here, is that the issue is siatuational. It depends n the campaign, play-style...

    My 13th-level druid... wow...

Yoink away, good sir! Glad to be of service. :) Yes, both types of spells would be perfectly viable even if they didn't work together. But, it's legal, as you said. I'm waiting for my DM to rule on this -- I sent him "The Horror", as I lovingly named him ;) Yeah, wasn't fun for me, either...
