    I think we're done with 4E

For my group, the issue of repetative attack routines seems to be all in the name. The Ranger saying "I'll Twinstrike" every round does grate on my nerves more than previous editions, but in those other editions we actually had fewer attack options. The difference for us was that the players...

Where and on What do you Play?

I play at my FLGS on three tables arranged in a "T" shape. As DM I sit at the horizontal of the "T", and the players sit around the vertical leg. The tables are what the FLGS uses for MtG games. I would say they are 3'X5' or so. When I owned a home with a basement(before a downsizing) we...

    E-Z Dungeon or Dragon Tiles?

I'm going to give this a shot. I think I'll get some of each set. I'm thinking of getting the mega bundle of E-Z D, and the first two sets of dragon Tiles. That should cover most everything I need to get started, plus it'll take me awhile to actually build the pieces.:)

    E-Z Dungeon or Dragon Tiles?

I'm sure this is like asking a parent which child is their favorite, but do you have a suggestion for getting started with your products? I saw that you were doing a "Black Friday/Cyber Monday" sale, and I decided this was the time to give them a try. I LOVE the look of E-Z Dungeons, but I'm...

    E-Z Dungeon or Dragon Tiles?

Thanks Thanee. The main reason I have leaned away from the Dungeon Tiles is the cost. I was thinking that with a PDF like the Fat Dragon products I could print as many pieces as I need for the price of ink and cardstock. I have some of the Dungeon Tiles (outdoor set), but I feel like I would...

    E-Z Dungeon or Dragon Tiles?

Can anybody offer suggestions on the E-Z Dungeon or Dragon Tiles products? I have been happily using a Flip Mat for my games, but I'm looking to add a little more spice to the tabletop. My situation: I DM a D&D 4E game at my FLGS every other Saturday. One of my issues with my game is that...

    GEN CON being sold?

Wasn't Roger Moore, former editor of Dragon magazine, from Ky? I can't remember, but I thought I read a profile in an old Dragon that said he lived here.

    GEN CON being sold?

Oh man, Colonel Sanders the Lich King and his army of unstoppable undead chickens! Hear the horrifying cry of the zombie chickens! Brraaaawwkk----- Brraaaaawwk

What size is your combat grid?

Wow, thats a nice set-up Jade! Welcome to the forums. If you don't mind sharing, how much did it cost to construct your table; and how long did it take you to complete?

    GEN CON being sold?

Aww c'mon, this is KY we're talking about. We could just fill the State Fairgrounds/Expo Center parking lot with mobile homes an rent 'em out! Instead of the Embassy Suites, you could be staying in a "Double Wide" packed with gamers! OK, maybe that wouldn't be as awesome as it sounded at...

    GEN CON being sold?

I tend to agree with you, but if we landed GenCon we'd finally be cooler than Vermont!

    GEN CON being sold?

Hey, if the attorney involved in the group buying GenCon is from KY, I wonder if this means GenCon will move to Louisville after any contracts with Indianapolis expire. I could actually commute to GenCon and spend all that room money on "Stuff"!

    Sell me a dice pouch!

I tried to find one of the Gamer's Bag dice bags last year and was unsuccessful. I think it was called the "Dice Bag of Holding". I didn't see any at GenCon anyway. I ended up buying a bag from another company at GenCon this year. When I get home I'll post the company name. I was directed...

What size is your combat grid?

24" X 30" Paizo Flip-Mat, but I'm looking at the Fat Dragon Company's Dragon Tiles product for some future games. When I used Tact-Tiles, we usually used 2' X 3' layouts.

    12 Tact-Tiles Sold for $360!

The original expanded set of 12 Tact-Tiles retailed for $54.70 (plus tax and shipping from Alabama of course). The one in the auction that just ended was the "Deluxe" set, that came with the cardboard box carrier and I think it also came with some dry erase markers. I've never really been in a...

    Would you drop this player?

I'll jump on board with the folks that say to communicate with the player to see if this is the type of game they're willing to join. Most people deserve a second chance, and my experience has been that most conflicts are based in miss communication. That being said, there are gamers out there...

    My Gripe with D&D Experience

I did not know it was an RPGA only event. Those numbers sound like good turnout for a event of that type. I imagined it as a regional convention(open to everybody) that moved to different areas, not served by established cons. In my mind I thought of it as the kind of Con with an attendance...

    Help Identify a Music Video

For some reason I want to think the song was "Hang me up to Dry" by Cold War Kids, but all my searches show a video that's something like a movie trailer, and nothing like the video I remember. Why can't I remember?!

    Help Identify a Music Video

This may be the most esoteric question on the boards today, but I'm going crazy trying to remember this song. All I remember is the video consists mainly of a female soldier in what appears to be a Russian or Eastern European officer's uniform. The soldier is shot several times(not graphic...

    My Gripe with D&D Experience

I've never been to Experience, but it sounds smaller than I imagined it. Didn't it used to be Winter Fantasy or something? I figured it'd be a pretty significant event. Btw Exile, are you still in the land of the Briar Jumpers?
