Pathfinder 2E Do you think 1st or 2nd edition is more complicated?

I voted 1E because while 2E is complicated, it also made a serious effort toward balance and consistency that 1E lacks -- and that lack ups the complexity in practical terms.

How Complex Do You Prefer Your TTRPG Systems In General

I think there is a space in the market for a slightly crunchier, slightly less deadly, slightly more heroic version of Shadowdark.

    Modiphius 2d20 System Opinions?

Not to get too off topic, but I wonder why you say this.

    Modiphius 2d20 System Opinions?

I am a big fan of the system. The core mechanics works well and is intuitive, and I really think that Threat and Momentum makes for compelling gameplay with meaningful decisions to be made. I don't find the combat to be clunky, but it isn't necessarily the strong point of the system either. Note...

Who Should Make The Next Star Wars TTRPG, And What Should It Look Like?

That is what I was asking: are they under a single license with Asmodee? DO we know if there have been any negotiations behind the scenes? Would we know? I would be VERY surprised if neither Free League nor Modiphius wanted the license.

Who Should Make The Next Star Wars TTRPG, And What Should It Look Like?

It's such nonsense. I have never seen a "2d20 hater" be able to actually articulate what they hate about it, unless they are just dead set against metacurrency.

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

I was not especially clear. My fault.

Who Should Make The Next Star Wars TTRPG, And What Should It Look Like?

Isn't that exactly what is happening with the current SW license? Or is the TTRPG license wrapped up with the rest of "tabletop" and therefore theyare letting it languish because they are more interested in selling collectible cards and x-wings? Do we actually know anything about the Star Wars...

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

I do NOT say it underperformed, not even in the post you quoted. I said that IF it did, it would make sense to change up the creative team. That was in response to a post that suggested such a move would make no sense. I think 5.5 is bad, mind you, and I don't make any apologies for that. But...

Who Should Make The Next Star Wars TTRPG, And What Should It Look Like?

Really? I think we have seen more licensed RPGs in the last few years than ever before.

Who Should Make The Next Star Wars TTRPG, And What Should It Look Like?

You don't even really need the sci-fi companion if you don't mind just reskinning stuff. The extra vehicle rules are useful, tho.

    D&D 5E (2024) Predict WotC's 2026 D&D releases

For me personally, a focus on Beyond only content would be the last nail in the coffin with regards to my interest in what WotC is doing with D&D.

Has getting the Star Wars license ever killed a company?

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

This is not as contradictory as you are trying to make it out to be. If I was trying to right a ship after a major release underperformed, I would certainly get rid of the old staff and hire some new staff.

    D&D 5E (2024) Predict WotC's 2026 D&D releases

If there has been a significant shift in strategy that necessitates rethinking the pipeline, it would make sense for them to try and draw extra revenue from elsewhere.

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

This is pessimistic and dystopian, but I think despite the very loud outcry against GenAI TTRPG stuff, the fact is that the TTRPG space is very highly susceptible to GenAI content. Because we have added millions of casual players over the last 5 years or more, the fact is that most of them do...

How Complex Do You Prefer Your TTRPG Systems In General

That is a pretty low level for even most modern indie games. What games do you think hit that spot?
