    However you do it the best way IMO is to have Session 0 be a PC build session where all this is done. The groups can see who everyone is and choose class/race/etc based on group. You can build PCS and get in the starting adventure easily, getting level 1 done with no problem.

    And if you were to go 2 weapon then Champion let’s you pick the style and get full attack bonus and Dual Wielder is then the feat you take. With that feat and the second fighting style from Paladin you can take defense and get a total defense bonus of +2.

    Another issue with ranged combat specialist is their HP pool is in general not available for the party to use, other players in melee range must take hits for them. This also needs to be planned for at session 0.

    Your examples also do not include the OppAtt that melee users get and should get %50 of the time in a well played group. Dissonant Whispers, Command, Compulsion exist for that very reason.
