Are there any TTRPGs tailored to playing ordinary people trying to survive a kaiju attack?

FFG put out a series of RPG books using the genesys system (Star Wars Edge). I think there was an alien invasion one that had kaiju like beasties and the PCs are ordinary blokes. Im guessing its no longer in print but copies might be out there.

Tell me about the RPG section of your local game store

Minnesota has more game stores per capita than maybe any other state in the U.S. Most are small strip mall locations with modest 1-2 book shelf offerings with D&D, PF, and a few others. 1 Store is a true FLGS thats been around for decades selling collectables, comics, anime, boardgames...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

    The "math" of RPGs

There was a time I wanted a little tactical wargame in my RPG, but now i'm more into just playing a tactical wargame while putting some RPG in it instead. When I play RPGs im more about the exploration and social aspects anyways. Though, as a PF1 fan, I do think having a crunchy system is fun...

Making Modern Communication Work in Horror Games

There is a lot of ways to make cell phones unreliable or faulty. The PC calls the cops and two things are likely to have happened. Either the horror manifests and kills the character and the cops are too late, or the cops show up and there isnt a shred of evidence anything is out of place...

    Battletech Public Playtest Thread

Package 4 is live So its 20 some pages long i wont do a deep review off the bat here. I will say this package is about mission generation, variable field and weather conditions, objective set ups, etc... Good stuff for folks interested in game modes beyond death arena.

What Do You Need From Publishers?

Oh this is good stuff. I also like sub-systems that expand the rule set.

What Do You Need From Publishers?

Adventure modules/paths. Sure I could write my own entirely from scratch, but I'm not good at it. I do better with a foundation with which to spring from after my interest has been jump started.
