    D&D Movie/TV Rate the D&D movie

I watched it at home on Blu ray. In science fiction and fantasy films I want to be immersed into that world. Here the cinematography was too dark in places and uninspired in others. Many of the non-human races looked fake. These factors pulled me out of the film. Some dialogue was difficult to...

D&D General What is your favorite class(es), and what about makes them so fun?

Warlocks are fun because with Eldritch Blast handling combat there is room for a lot of specialized spells. And those add variety. Barbarians are fun when in hulk smash mode.

    D&D 5E (2024) (+) Hopes for The Monk

With the massive Warlock changes its clear that short rests are being phased out. I expect that ki recovery will be changed to a long rest. Maybe something like 2 - 3 ki / level, or 1 ki / level + Wis mod ki recovered at start of combat.

    D&D 5E (2024) (+) Hopes for The Monk

Every class can use simple weapons. The monk occupies the specific fantasy niche of unarmed and unarmored combat. If a player wants a martial that uses weapons and armor, well, there are the fighter, barbarian, ranger, paladin, and rogue classes. I don't see the point of criticizing a class...

    D&D 5E (2024) (+) Hopes for The Monk

The monk's distinctive feature is unarmed combat and unarmored defenses. It says so right in the class description. That is what the monk should be doing. Aside from the Beast barbarian, every other martial uses weapons and armor.

    D&D 5E (2024) (+) Hopes for The Monk

The monk gets a bonus action attack without needing a feat, and has two reactions, Deflect Missile and Slow Fall. I'd like to see more reactions added to the base monk class, such the Defensive Duelist feat. Adding to the action economy would make the monk play differently than other martials.

D&D General Would you like there to be a new publication of Dark Sun?

I didn't care for Dark Sun when it was first released and am not interested in a 5e version. There is also the opportunity cost. I'd much rather see a whole new setting.

I'd like to see more uses for Str and Int, so they don't always get dumped.

    D&D 5E (2014) Wall of Force options

Lets say that Moonbeam is cast (by another PC) prior to Wall of Force. Can the Moonbeam then be moved if the Wall of Force is between the Moonbeam and its caster?
