You have my full agreement. Another problem is when people present their opinions ask facts and just assume people will understand that it´s just opinion. Like you said, nuance. It really is a lost artform, and as most of us are not mind readers in real life this goes double on the internet...

I agree with this mostly as the spell says the sound is produced within the 60 ft. radius, however I would probably say that it is at a single point withing that radius, not the same sound throughout. Preferably the sound would emanate at the point where the alarm was set off.

I agree with the general sentiment but feel that excluding dissenting elements from discussions would only create an echo chamber. Perhaps you should go to the OSR or Pathfinder boards and argue over how crappy those games are. I’m sure those who do want to discuss other games would love to...
