I'm familiar with the Glavelock, it's the Clawlock that's new to me. Am I right in reading that the Clawlock is not based as a natural attack, but as an improved unarmed attack?

If it's behind the curve in combat, does it have out-of-combat utility? For example, even as a Huge creature, it can pass thru a keyhole. There should be some useful applications.

I wouldn't argue with any DM who shot this idea down. However I never got the impression attacking was required to trigger the AC bonus from the wording, only that you could not do so after using the enhancement bonus in an attack.
