The card decks are just monsters guns and rumors, a GM reference. That's handy so not sure where the hang-up is?

PF2e should be extremely interesting. I fear that it will be a) not enough change for those that want more changed, or b) they did not change enough, or c) all of the above. With something like this line, people want change, but not too much deviation from the core. If Starfinder is a sneak...

I fear that Starfinder will continue to decline in 2019. I have yet to get anyone interested in it. I do wish that Paizo would have a team that translates their APs to 5e. I'd love a Runelords, Crimson Throne, Strange Aeons, etc adventure paths.

The Pathfinder Beginner set wasn't released prior to the core rules either. This is coming out now because the line has proved to have legs and money can be diverted to create an expensive starter set.
