Folks have fond memories of the old RPGs and games AND can look at them with critical eyes of 2026 and call out the issues, with love. There are so many excellent games, rules frameworks, and people in this hobby. These are the good days.

I think one of the qualities of a megacorp in cyberpunk settings is it's transnationalism/ubiquity. The fact that Renraku, a Japanese corp, has a huge arcology in Seattle, (in Shadowrun) is a big part of the flavor of the megacorp

Most of my D&D games are WotC published or set in Forgotten Realms; so by default yes. In a home-brew Freebooters on the Frontier game I ran, the 2e playtest rules include a section on creating a pantheon, so I did it then too.
