D&D 5E (2024) Changes to the Command spell and its use at the table.

Why should he? Would you flee into lava? Nothing says in a straight line or anything. But if you use 1st level spells in this way at your table, have fun. Most I did was using approach on our cleric, jumping a few feet down.

D&D 5E (2024) Changes to the Command spell and its use at the table.

They won't jump from cliffs. Nothing in the descriptions says that. On the other hand I think it should have kept the restrictions on language.

    D&D 5E (2024) Artificer: Spell Storing Item?

Monster manual refers to upcast spells as (level x version). So I am not sure you are wrong.

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

Even though I disagree with the pseudodragon at will, I am totally on your side here. Chain pact is very good. Especially in the utility department. And a quasit that can poison enemies for a turn is very useful too.

Homebrew Do people in your game world put cheese on their apple pies??

Yeah. The question is when exactly milk becomes cheese. By that definition there are a lot of cakes or sweet meals that have some kind of cheese and apples in it.

Homebrew Do people in your game world put cheese on their apple pies??

I have heard about putting cheese in coffee as well as hot chocolate

Homebrew Do people in your game world put cheese on their apple pies??

I like to eat apple and cheese together. So yeah. Could work. Edit: @Paul Farquhar I read your comment after my own post. I did not know about ploughman's lunch. I really have to try that. Thanks. Here in Germany (near Frankfurt) you get something called "Handkäse". Sometimes you get it in...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

Why does this not surprise me. So you are the DM who uses rules against their players that contradicts the fiction? No. But sometimes people do. And if you only play with rules lawyers, I guess that is your own decision. For me the fun ends at that point. As I said, I have made my decision...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

Yeah. You don't have to. Can't take you seriously either.

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

It is all about dpr. And using a familiar. There were posts like: "I am still worse at dpr than other warlocks. So the rule should be as I want it to be..."

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

The point I am trying to make is that if you find pact of the chain not strong enough to find other ways to buff it. But pact of the chain is powerful enough at low levels. And later you can take investment of the chain master. And you can use bonus actions to have them attack. And since the...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

And at that point I show you the door. Probably your DMs. Everyone gets what they deserve. At some point I just broke the viscous circle and the game suddenly became a good experience for everyone. Not long ago I invited a new player to one of my games. He was mkre of the ruoes lawyer type...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

Probably. Very probably. I'd give them a second chance if they just ask if it is possible. Maybe we even find a solution. But trying to rules lawyer it won't work. I admit I once was rules lawyering myself... and somerimes rules lawyers are correct. But it at least has to make sense in the...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

I said "try to expoit rules" . In the big picture it does not matter if someone is technically correct or not. I have never experienced a group where that line of argumentation leads to a fun game. If someone asks me if they could attack a single foe with their familiar in tandem, using...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

That might be the problem. Please explain how it works in the fiction. You contradict yourself... Please explain how just holding a second scimitar allows your familiar to attack once more... Again. Nkthing to do with power level. It is the mindset of exploiting rules. I get another attack...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

Being able to attack once more just because you are holding another scimitar is my problem. Nothing. I don't like to play with people who try to exploit rules.

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

But it is weird. If you like weird interactions, go for it. Does nit break the game... But certainly breaks my imagination. Sorry. As long as I am the DM I say no. No matter how balanced it is. Everyone is free to just leave my table.

D&D 5E (2024) Pact of the Chain + Nick Mastery

So whatever. Play as you like. But this is clearly a weird ruling. Use a scimitar and attack once more.

D&D General Hasbro CEO Says AI Integration Has Been "A Clear Success"

Pandoras box is opened... and actually, I see no harm in usong AI to get some inspiration or to write automated E-mails. At some point every tool needs to find a place and it would be dumb to not use it as long as it is cost and time efficient. Whenever a new machine or tool was produced...
