This whole thing about half elves and half orcs hurts my brain. What is the issue exactly? Isn't Simon the Sorcerer from the movie a half elf? I don't get it.

Much of this kind of corporate speak is why I've transitioned over to Shadowdark, Old School Essentials, and Dungeon Crawl Classics for my D&D fix. Most of this just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

That whole quote was blown way out of proportion as well by critics who opined that the film was going to have a "woke" agenda. Many of them are backpeddling now and I am enjoying seeing that happen.

I've just recently discovered OSE and I love everything about it... sorry for the thread necromancy but it really is a great game and captures what I believe to be the true core of D&D.

The cover does look great, but I really disliked the adventure so unless the changes are dramatic, I'll give this a pass.

Yeah it's an odd choice when there are literally hundreds of actual CRPGs out there with more similarities to D&D... and even shooters like Tiny Tina's Wonderlands for example. Fortnite to me is the boy band of gaming.
