D&D General AI Art for D&D: Experiments

Sad dog issues? I don't know that reference. If you mean what won't it let you do... 1. ChatGPT won't (and this has been the case before recent Musk AI issues) let you create an image from a photo of a real person. Not will it let you create a photo realistic image of a real person - even to...

D&D General AI Art for D&D: Experiments

I've tried free online AI and I've never been happy with the results. ChatGTP is the best but it limits you heavily so I do subscribe since I generate art and use it to help flesh out ideas for adventures and my campaign setting.

True again, and I d prefer to see faces/heads in art. It looks better for a viewer to see a face.

True enough. I guess I didn't consider that in the description. Although in this picture of a Keolandish military charge, she didn't get a helm either. Edit: Maybe Heroes don't need them?

D&D General AI Art for D&D: Experiments

Lately, I've been using ChatGTP to generate some art for my homebrew setting. Trying to get the look and feel of parts of my world. I've managed to get it to save the art style so I can just bring it up when I need to. Here's a few pieces. Keolandish soldier faces off against Ork bandit. Okay...

D&D General The "Ease of Long Rests" as a metric for describing campaigns / DM styles?

I voted 3. In my games, a Long Rest is an overnight sleep.

D&D General D&D Evolutions You Like and Dislike [+]

I should also add that I much prefer how 5th now doesn't need the classic fighter-rogue-cleric-wizard party build. These days it feels genuinely that a party composition can be almost anything and that's good.

D&D General D&D Evolutions You Like and Dislike [+]

Likes: 1. Simplified system. Easier to learn and teach now than it was through 1st to 3.5th. 2. The characters feel more balanced now than they have done in previous editions. 3. Advantage and Disadvantage. So much better than trying to decide modifiers. 4. Encounter building is generally...

    D&D General 5e D&D Campaigns

I came back to D&D with 2024 and I'm running two campaigns at the moment in y homebrew world of Hyborea. Both campaigns are running chronologically alongside one another and I've had characters cross over for one off sessions to showcase it as a living world type idea. Ghosts of Saltmarsh...

What Is Your Favorite Linear Adventure/Campaign

Bar one or two, the Paizo adventure paths for Pathfinder 1st were really good. Each one took us about a year face to face gaming with weekly or fortnightly sessions. Main ones that I really liked were Shackled City followed by Age of Worms, and Rise of the RuneLords. They would take a little...

D&D 5E (2014) Real Emotions at the Gaming Table

Personally it does put me into a slightly bad mood if a character of mine dies, especially if I've put a lot of effort into the character. But I accent that character death is part and parcel of the game. It just irks me a little I guess. I want them to survive and tell the story at the table...
