If anything, this thread has made me very curious about Eberron. The idea of a world where magic item creation is a part of the setting and where I can use swashbuckling, pulp, and standard dnd elements all at the same time sounds great. The core rules of DnD have never really made sense...

Very true, but I get the feeling that most evil folks don't like thier evil buddies. They just hang with them because of mutual benefit :) In most cases, the helm would help them see the error of their ways and would see past evilness as abhorrent. A pc with a good diplomacy could help them...

Whenever he updates... I would agree that I read this story hour for inspiration...Ive read it entirely at least 3 times so far and whenever I need some creative juice for my own game.

Although its not hell, this update reminds me of the picture in the 1ed PHB, Paladin in Hell. Usually its been the casters (Mostin and Nwm) that have wowed me in this story, but this time, the day definitely goes to Eadric. Wow.
