I think he means that by having the mandalorian steel, they are made of beskar, which allows you to apply your DR to damage done by lightsabers (normally lightsabers bypass all DR) And by Superior Tech upgrade, he probably means the Superior Tech upgrade from Scum and Villiany, which is better...
