They're back: Return of the Slivers. [Updated 24/8-2005: Beware the Overlord!]

Yuck, tastes like raw sewage. *munch* *munch* <inbetween bites> See the problem is that the some of the bigger slivers (well, the queen actually) has the ability to planeshift, so once any of the queens slivers have been on a particular plane and has returned to the hive, the queen will know...

They're back: Return of the Slivers. [Updated 24/8-2005: Beware the Overlord!]

It always stacks unless noted otherwise, how can you get more clearer than that? It's in the friggin introduction. Geez!, also that is a very good question, perhaps because the Muscle sliver is a builder/worker and the Barbed Sliver is a warrior specialist?

    Creating Rock Dragons.

True, but perhaps we should save the sonic breathweapon for one of the alternates? (i.e. The next group of rock dragons, Yeah, I know, but they are chaotic so there's probably more than five ;) ). But a breathweapon that functions as mindfog and erase, I like that... I also like the silencing...

The new sliver thread. I'll put a link to each of the slivers I post in this thread, please delete the old links from your list so we can add the new ones so that there will be no doubles at different CR's (as there is now). Proto Sliver (CR 1/2) Sliver, Metallic (CR 2) Sliver, Clot (CR 2)...

They're back: Return of the Slivers. [Updated 24/8-2005: Beware the Overlord!]

Fixed the increased damage and shared ability. And now, "Barbie"... - Sliver, Barbed Medium Aberration (Extraplanar, Sliver) Hit Dice: 6d8+12 (39 hp) Initiative: +2 Speed: 30’, Climb 30’, Armor Class: 18 (+2 Dex, +6 natural), touch 12, flat-footed 16, Base Attack/Grapple: +4/+10 (+4 grapple...

Secondary breathweapons usually don't deal damage.

Converting original D&D and Mystara monsters

    See, I didn't know that. :p Boz: I don't know, but then again I don't have any 1st edition books. (I have a few 2nd edition though...)

    D&D 3.x 3.5 Kuo-Toa

Alertness, it has a little B after it in the revised monster manual's Kuo-Toa entry.

    Creating Rock Dragons.

Suffocating breathweapon. I like that. But one breathweapon that deals physical damage is more than enough. I think it best if we stick with a cold/force combo as the primary breathweapon to the Slate, but we still need a secondary breathweapon for it. Remember, it doesn't have to be related to...

Converting monsters from the second edition Monstrous Compendiums

The halfling gets the save bonus as compensation for their small size, can't have a LA -1 race now, can we? :p Same reason the Gnome gets its magical abilities.

Converting original D&D and Mystara monsters

The Bhut is in Fiend Folio and is now more in line with it's mythological origins. (a possessing undead spirit), and the Ash Crawler is in Sandstorm under the name of Ashworm, they dropped the fire type and made it a magical beast, but it is still a 3HD threat.

    Creating Rock Dragons.

It is never to late to suggest more rock dragons, although we will create the above five first, who is to say that there are not more of them out there, they are afterall a chaotic breed... :D

    Creating Rock Dragons.

That was a lot of info on the different rocks/minerals. Anyway on to the breathweapons. Basalt: Good, I like that, and I think it fits, we can go with a volcano theme on that one. Granite: We use the rock fragments as the main attack (dealing 50% piercing/50% slashing damage) and we...
