Two things (from my perspective): 1. I’m tired of war and stories about war. I wish i was aware of more sci-fi that didn’t deal with war and mass killing as plot points. 2. This thread isn’t nearly as good as the fantasy one. Arguments about Dune just really aren’t that engaging reading for me.

Not as childish as someone who won’t call a book a book, though.

Calling a paperback or hardback book the “dead tree edition” infantilizes you as a person. It immediately causes you to be written off as an unserious individual.

Dwarves are awesome, and when WoTC isn’t too busy neutering their coolest sub races, really have a lot of potential to tell good stories as characters. WFRP has the best Dwarfs.

People fighting over a game they will never play will always get a pop out of me. But you see, I’m the genius here. I’m not going to fight about it, I’m just going to buy it, admire the art, read the lore, and never play it. Expert level move.

I think we shouldn’t over think a game that is basically a violence simulation and let there be a species of cool Vikings of the Underdark, like the Duerger are presented in BG3.

One thing I hope changes is that somehow Duergar will be made wicked cool again, the ravagers of the Underdark like they are in BG3, as opposed to the boring, frankly banal version we were presented in Monsters of the Multiverse.
