Strange New Worlds season 2 - SPOILERS

This is a good take, I thought similar thoughts after watching Arena again. The only odd bit, as you point out, is the crew not reacting to the name Gorn. Everything else can easily be squatted away.

What is the single best fantasy novel of all time?

One collection I’ve really enjoy recently is Tanith Lee’s Cyrion. Published in 1982, I can’t find a decent quality paperback anywhere, but it is out there for e-readers.

What is the single best fantasy novel of all time?

Yea, from my perspective this simply isn’t true having just finished the most recent book. You’re entitled to your opinion, of course, but his more subtle presentation perhaps eludes one who is looking for a more direct telling. D&D General Does D&D Have an Identity Crisis?

I can’t believe how silly this conversation has been allowed to get about BG3 by people who haven’t even played the game.

D&D General Does D&D Have an Identity Crisis?

It isn’t the game that has an identity process, it’s the fans who can’t accept brand diversity and grasp that different approaches in products are for different groupings of people. There’s something pearl clutchy and gate keepy about some of these comments lol

D&D 5E (2014) D&D's Classic Settings Are Not 'One Shots'

What I’ve taken away from all these posts is that what you all like stinks and what I like is awesome. But seriously, I hope the Planescape books don’t suck.

What is the single best fantasy novel of all time?

Tower of the Elephant, by Robert E. Howard. Hands down, single most influential fantasy story in the development of the hobby we all profess to love.

How would you describe Dimension 20? My wife and I have a long car trip coming up, and she said she wanted to listen to a good actual play DnD podcast.

I feel like this was an assertion looking for an argument and instead just annoyed a bunch of folks.

D&D General Why Do You Think Wizards Are Boring?

Wizards used to be cool and scarily obsessed with studying forbidden magic and lore. And then we advanced in editions and they became more like technicians selecting which tool works best for the job. They lost their flavor and became technocratic professionals instead of obsessed, slightly...

D&D 5E (2024) Druid metal armor restriction gone?

Good thing vanilla is my favorite ice cream flavor, otherwise I’d think this new edition is a wee bit bland.

D&D General Should D&D Be "Hard"

DnD should be whatever brings the players back to the table the following week. No more nor less. It isn’t very complicated.
