I don’t find D20 as a system too taxing, but having run multiple campaigns in Star Trek Adventures, I do think, based on my experience, that it can be seriously streamlined and cleaned up.

It’s a pretty taxing system on the GM, I hope they really streamline it.

I’m going to have to see the books, read reviews, and hear other people’s experience before I decide if I’ll incorporate anything.

It strikes me that if you spend too much time online you’ll inevitably be disappointed. The ending was completely inline with previous seasons of the show—if you didn’t get the closure you were led to believe you were deserving because YouTube told you so, that’s on you, not the show.

Yea, I’d agree entirely with you. This company lost me when the ceo couldn’t shut up about web3. I hate venture capital tools, and I’m not surprised that it was a poorly run company with a culture that would never fit the ttrpg space.

Fair bit of pearl clutching in this thread, which isn’t to be unexpected. Seeing how litigious the CEO and his investors are, I wonder if you’re going to see lawsuits out of this. Sounds like a poorly run company that hired employees that didn’t fit the culture—this is the consequence.
