Apparently so. Furthermore, my understanding is that the new (and super-expensive) CSIO from GG does not include the old version, so the argument about the importance of preservation falls a bit flat, IMHO.

Surely, you mean guanciale? :p I like carbonara a lot, but - for me - it's a once in while dish. However, since it seems that we can be more generic, I will go with pasta as my favorite food. Yes, it is stereotypical for an Italian, but I really, really love pasta.

I love that part, very well written. Unfortunately, it is completely unfilmable. The movie version is nice, but doesn't pack the same punch.

Your criticisms of trap-finding and thieves are fair and I largely agree with them, but we cannot really expect to see such changes in games that are explicitly clones on B/X and AD&D.
