    Why is bigger always better?

Personally I agree with the AD&D approach to weapons. Namely different weapon damage for different target sizes. Against a human both a dagger and a greatsword are deadly. Do you think a dagger would be as deadly against a dragon? Sure we don't have that many dragons around here to test this...

OotS #795 is up! Back to the action!

I wonder if Thog is a single class barbarian or if he has the cheesy beserker PrC. Cause if the latter, I cannot see how Roy could possibly win.

Are things like Intimidate/Bluff/Diplomacy too easy?

Hehe this is so true, I mainly DM but the few times I play I've found that I am completely incapable of playing anything other than NG characters.

    Aerenal vs Argonessen: why?

Historically, the dragons of eberron do not negotiate. They did not attempt to stop the giants from using world-shattering magic against the rebellion; they just wiped them. The majority of dragons view other mortals little better than we look at our pets.

    Aerenal vs Argonessen: why?

Also the elves are not a monolithic force. The Aereni cohabit with the Tairnadal (and the latter seem to be doing the lion's share of the fighting). Also a society built on houses suggests a level of divisiveness. Another idea could be that some dragons fear the strengthening of Irian's...

    Aerenal vs Argonessen: why?

I like one of the options set forth in the book. The dragons apply constant pressure to Argonessen to keep their military well trained so that they can face a future catastrophe.

    Which Setting for You?

I don't know, the chance of something like that happening if you woke up in the nicer places in Eberron seems quite smaller. Slavery is probably the biggest industry in Faerun, considering how many civilization both below and above ground rely on it. Meanwhile slavery is extremely rare in...

    Which Setting for You?

You realize how easy it is for a stranger with no gold who doesn't presumably speak common to get snatched in the night in Waterdeep and sold to slavers?

    Which Setting for You?

Eberron seems like the one place I wouldn't get eaten in. I'd have loved to go to FR or Sigil, but even if I suvived there, the moment the powers that be realised how much I know of those places I'd end up a slave for the first evil overlord that wants to catch me. I mean I am pretty sure I know...

    Pit Fiends on Patrol

The Nine Hells and the Abyss hace always been since as corrupting to the angels while at the very least the Seven Heavens appear to be utterly destructive to evil and Elysium seems powerfully warded against evil. Anyone can enter the Lower Planes.

    Pit Fiends on Patrol

Actually since Abyss has infinite infinities it is bigger than hell which has finite infinities. Math does support this comparison (the abyss is a set of infinite sets which has a greater cardinality than the nine hells as supported by aleph numeration in set theory):)

    OotS #0789

I wonder who else is stealthing around that panel. I don't think Hilgya still works for Nale but unless Sabine is there, I think Elan and V can handle the drow.

    I need D&D planets.

In my campaign setting the Feywild and the Shadowfell are alternatively planets instead of planes. I also use alternative shapes for my planets. The core world is flat, the Feywild is like bytopia or Aion (two hemispheres connected by twin massive mountains in their middle inhabited in the...
