D&D 5E (2024) What creatures from existing sources besides MM, do you want to see updated for MM24?

I think they should go ahead and include the Chwinga, instead of reprinting its stat block in every other adventure. Also down for the Amphisbaena and Assassin Vine.

    D&D 5E (2014) my First Eberron campaign!

The Joy of Extradimensional Spaces can be about a Professor that has gone missing in Morgrave University, and was never seen leaving. They may have been trapped in their secret Mansion by a jealous rival. Likewise, the next adventure, Mazfroth's Mighty Digressions can begin in Morgrave and...

    D&D 5E (2014) my First Eberron campaign!

No Candlekeep Mysteries? There's some good ones in there that could fit well in Sharn.

D&D 5E (2014) Book of Many Things pre order up.

This deck will have 44 extra cards not included in any other OGL deck, right? So you can't actually get this deck anywhere else. The 80 page booklet and the source book will have references to cards you won't find elsewhere.

    D&D 5E (2014) Min-maxers: What's the best class and race for a Tier 1 investigative game?

Left field: Kenku, Githzerai, or Autognome for species. I feel like Inquisitive Rogue is unequaled in the Investigative game.

D&D 5E (2024) What would be the path between Wildshape Templates and Use an Beast statblock?

I feel like they might give Brawler another go based on what I've heard

D&D 5E (2024) What would be the path between Wildshape Templates and Use an Beast statblock?

Here's a possible in-between: You get to pick 6 or 7 wildshapes as found in the PHB index (and no, nothing would need to be removed for an index--you just make the book bigger like they are doing with the MM), and their attack bonus, damage, and AC scale with level. Moon Druid can have special...

D&D 5E (2024) What would be the path between Wildshape Templates and Use an Beast statblock?

The problem with templates, is that building your own statblock is tedious, let alone 6 or 7 statblocks. With pre-generated, unique statblocks, you just pull it up, use your own mental scores and HP, and you're ready to go.

D&D 5E (2024) Bonus Unearthed Arcana Reveals The Bastion System

I agree, except for 2024 monster design they seem to be getting rid of legendary actions in favor of additional reactions. That's probably really why they redesigned it.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D24 Spellcaster Subclasses: Thematic Unity

For the first and likely last time, I was right about something.

    D&D 5E (2014) I made a Revised Fighter to fix the martial/caster gap - Feedback?

Okay, what do you guys think of this: Marching Song: Your martial discipline and rousing marching songs allow you and your comrades in arms to walk great distances with ease. You and your party gain the benefits of a short rest even when you are walking or marching for the duration. Carousing...

    D&D 5E (2014) I made a Revised Fighter to fix the martial/caster gap - Feedback?

I do feel maneuvers fill this niche. Using the cover rules is a neat idea.

    D&D 5E (2014) I made a Revised Fighter to fix the martial/caster gap - Feedback?

For me, gladiator is the CHA fighter, Brawler raw Strength, and Tactician the INT fighter (with EK being magic). In your opinion and the opinion of others here, which of these should be replaced with "Warrior"?

    D&D 5E (2014) I made a Revised Fighter to fix the martial/caster gap - Feedback?

Barbs and Monks would need a face-lift for sure, compared to this Fighter. This was made more in mind to balance against casters. You're the second person to say it, so maybe letting the fighter add battle dice to ability checks is not enough. I shall think how to increase their utility without...

    D&D 5E (2014) I made a Revised Fighter to fix the martial/caster gap - Feedback?

That's valid. To me, the Tactician is the vanilla one. Maybe it could have a different name, like "Warrior"

    D&D 5E (2014) I made a Revised Fighter to fix the martial/caster gap - Feedback?

Yes! I thought those two should be in the base class, and the subclasses opened up for more flavorful archetypes. Some of the champion's features were recycled into Gladiator, and some of the Battle Master into Tactician.

    D&D 5E (2014) [+] Ways to fix the caster / non-caster gap

I made another thread about it, but I whipped up a Revised version of the UA 7 Fighter. It's got some pretty juicy Achilles/Hercules stuff at the end.

    D&D 5E (2014) I made a Revised Fighter to fix the martial/caster gap - Feedback?

The primary complaint I see for martials and casters is the power disparity. "I hit four times" versus "I cast wish," that kind of thing. This Fighter can add battle dice to ability checks at level 2, an ability which applies out of combat as well. I suppose I could add more utility. I made my...
