D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: They knocked Druid out of the Park

I agree with these notes. Especially getting rid of the fiddliness. I also think that, if they want to make the Moon Druid the ultimate Wildshaper, they could let the Moon Druid prepare more Wildshape forms each day.

    D&D 5E (2024) New One D&D Playtest Document: 77 Pages, 7 Classes, & More!

Valid. Though you don't necessarily need to include beast stats, like a CR 0 "Cat" in the Monster Manual. The stat blocks could be used by other classes too, for familiars, steeds, summons, or other beast companions.

    D&D 5E (2024) New One D&D Playtest Document: 77 Pages, 7 Classes, & More!

My hope is that the Player's Handbook has a robust beast appendix. Then it'd almost be like choosing and preparing spells.

D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: They knocked Druid out of the Park

After playtesting this Druid with some buddies, I will say that I think the base class needs more than 3 prepared forms. I would go at least 5 to begin. Then work all the way up to 10. (Maybe PB plus WIS?)

D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: They knocked Druid out of the Park

I agree. And if there is a decent beast appendix in the PHB, then it's golden.

I'm very happy with this new Druid. Circle of the Sea is sick.

D&D 5E (2014) Sigil and the Outlands has Planar Rules

Here's what the 96-page book will probably be, perhaps in this order: 4 pages of general introductory info on Outlands and Sigil. 6 pages of character options: one species and a bunch of feats. 15 pages on factions. Each faction will get a page spread. A 35-page gazeteer of Sigil. Adventure...

D&D 5E (2024) Fix for the Druid's Wildshape: A limited number of beasts

At level one, you would not need to look through all 50, but only the 10 or so that are CR 1/2 or lower. It would be much less burdensome than looking through all the spells.

D&D 5E (2024) Fix for the Druid's Wildshape: A limited number of beasts

Though I do not like the templates very much, I agree that needing to refer to the monster manual is a chore. Here is my take on how they could fix Druid's Wildshape: "At level one, your connection to nature allows to change into beasts, or wildshapes. As an action, you can transform into a...

RPG Evolution: Multiverses All the Way Down

ACTUALLY The first known theory of a multiverse came from the Atomist school of thought in ancient Greece, led by a couple dudes named Leucippus and Democritus, in the 5th century B.C.E, who believed that the collision of atoms led to infinite parallel worlds.

D&D 5E (2024) Warlock Patron at 3rd Level Makes Sense

It makes sense to me at least. There are many different stories to tell and ways to explain it. Here are two that come immediately to mind. 1. You made a pact at level one with your patron, but they have only given you a small measure of power to test your mettle. By reaching 3rd, you have...

D&D 5E (2014) Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants

Maybe they will throw in some more Dire animals. Dire mammoth, dire rhino, etc. They could also add some of the giants from older editions, like Mountain Giants, Forest Giants, and Sea Giants. Finally, they could add some Giant ideas/art from other cultures. Like the cool Aztec-inspired fire...

D&D 5E (2024) How should the Wizard subclasses be revised?

I think Scribe will be the new default or "simple" Wizard. As part of the base class, you get to pick two school specialties at level 2, and then another one at level 9. (Want a War Mage? Pick EV and AB. Beguiler? IL and EN? Etc.) The other 3 subclasses would be Dread Necromancer (per Crawford...
