Yes fixed. I love that setting. I wasn't sure exactly how the biker gangs made sense until I read the campaign. Now dwarven bikers in a post-apocalypse going out and trying to rebuild civilization - awesome! I've saved it, and will probably back at the end. Congrats on funding btw!

A knight with a lance who misses is going to be one who gets dragged off his horse, and stabbed multiple times by his group of foes. Imho, knight with lance is great vs other knight with lance, or in a line charging against another line of knights with lances or against a line of infantry...

I will say in my case, this was my own idea, the GM did not suggest it. I didn't want to play a character that was an 8-IQ when it was safe for the party or myself to do so; but then spouting off a bunch of ideas the rest of the time. I had fun at least and didn't wreck anyone else's fun...

If I recall, this is the SRD explicilty. Only 1 subclass per class. Not sure I'm looking to simplify, although that's certainly an admirable goal, and for some groups the right choice (I'm thinking of one of my own groups tbh). But for me, I was thinking about giving my players a bit more...

Folks have fond memories of the old RPGs and games AND can look at them with critical eyes of 2026 and call out the issues, with love. There are so many excellent games, rules frameworks, and people in this hobby. These are the good days.

Over in another thread, someone mentions that they feel that subclasses are limiting. Whether we agree with them or not, it kind of got me thinking about D&D without subclasses. If you removed the default builds (aka subclasses), could you do something easy like take every single current class...

Note also the Ravnica setting for D&D - the 10 guilds while "color" is not specifically called out, their nature is definitely implied in their in-world setting.

I used to play a low IQ GURPS character. When I the player had an idea that was even remotely appropriate, I'd roll an IQ test. If I failed, my PC didn't say anything. If I succeeded, my PC could say the idea. It was fun, although we only did it if my idea seemed a bit above what a 6 IQ...
