Any D&D Tiles: Harrowing Halls pics?

I'm happy to give little bump here - any info or pics of the new tiles set much appreciated.

    Yay Failing Book Stores?

Borders UK went into receivership and all of their stores across the whole of teh UK closed right before Christmas. Lots of crazy discounts (they even sold off the fixtures and fittings!) but lots of people lost their jobs as well.

    [SPELLS and MAGIC] Design Discussion

The initial post is an excellent read - looking forward to the discussions taht will follow. One thing, it would be much easier to read if it wasn't black text on the standard black ENWorld background.

Forked from WotC Layoffs: Industry Size

Cubicle 7 and Green Ronin perhaps? This is just a hunch on my part really.

Should have TTYF'd the guy when he had the chance :)

What DDM figures do we still really need / want?

One important question if I may. These female Dragonborn - with or without boobies?

4E - 18 Months Later: Love it or hate it?

Meh, Who Cares? Just not interested in 4e. I'm still playing 3.x/Pathfinder and many other games.

    Do you need more dice?

Do I actually need more dice? No. Will I continue to buy more dice? Yes. Have you made a custom bag that you feel is particularly awesome? What made it so? My daughter made me a dice bag whilst grandma was teaching her to sew. It's red, with red braided drawstrings, and a black glyph sewn...

Warhammer 3e Demo Experiences -OR- How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bits

Agreed, £5 for a PDF of a game I'm not sure about is one thing - but a big initial outlay like this requires that I be convinced this is something I really want and am going to enjoy and get some use out of.

    Appeal to Support EN World!

I think that is quite unlikely - I struggle to believe there are people whose finances are so tight that they need a months notice to find $3 to support a website. If $3 is that hard to find then I don't see supporting ENWorld as being a priority for people.

Former WotC Customers, would resuming pdf sales bring you back?

No. No interest in 4e; and happier buying older edition stuff in hard copy when I can find it.

    It's Dark Sun

I like this idea - I like it a lot. The internal and moral conflict an Athasian wizard faces between power and principles is something I don't think D&D game mechanics have yet modelled realistically under any edition. Very interested to see what WOTC do in this area.

WFRP - THIRD Edition Announced from FFG

Truth. WFRP 3e sounds awful. Yet another game where I wont be updating to the new edition.

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder First Print Run Sold Out

I always presumed KOTOR and sequel used the D20 system as they were licenced from the D20 SW RPG from WOTC and Lucasfilm. Using this system also allowed Bioware to use the NWN Aurora engine which they already had - which was developed to run a licenced version of D20 D&D following the move to 3e...

Getting OSRIC/AD&D into FLGS and publishers

My FLGS doesn't stock M&M either, or Pathfinder - both because there is no demand (I've asked as I was suprised, and a bit put out, to see no Pathfinder as this is what I am playing and plan to play now 3.5 has been 'upgraded' to 4e). M&M is still a niche of a niche or RPG players: RPG players...

Getting OSRIC/AD&D into FLGS and publishers

Isn't the main reason OSRIC products aren't in every FLGS the simple fact that they wont sell as they are not and will never be finacially viable for a typical FLGS to stock? They cater to a tiny tiny minority of gamers - a niche within a niches within an already niche hobby: RPG Gamers - D&D...

    BBC4, Gaming and Image

None taken - just a little suprised by the use of 'the' The scope for portraying RPGs as the realm of nerdy Cambridge (under)graduates living in ivory towers of academe, wearing formal gowns, eating swans and swigging port, and totally isolated from reality is huge - a risk you'll have to watch...
