What Edition of D&D was your First (with fixed Poll)

1st Edition AD&D. Yes, I'll at least pick up the core books for 4e.

    D&D has "jumped the shark"

That's a very sound and reasonable piece of advice. Unfortunately this is the internet so we're all going to completely ignore it and instead react hysterically.... OMG. WOTC killed D&D!!1111ONE!!

    D&D has "jumped the shark"

If you're still posting these diatribes against WOTC and the development of any new editions of the game, then I'll probably say:

    D&D has "jumped the shark"

Oh, the melodrama. WOTC are the evil. 4e killed my D&D. Boo-hoo I'm not playing any more... Yawn. Boring. Anything new to say yet?

[For Scott Rouse] Is there going to be a Feat Compendium for 3.5?

You and I both know you'll be buying the 4e PHB. The only question is whether you pre-order it somewhere, or pick it up as an impulse buy at Orcs Nest one lunchtime. To pretend otherwise is foolish. :) You cannot resist the power of the new edition. Ready or not, you're upgrading to 4e...

Which campaign setting(s) should be supported?

I think WOTC need to focus on a few campaign settings and support them well - I'd recommend Forgotten Realms and Eberron (even though I personally don't like it) for this treatment. I'd like to see the following also published - but I don't think WOTC will be able to (or should) support them...

Why do YOU want a new edition

What he said. Particularly the stuff about speeding up play, less emphasis on the numbers, and less focus and reliance on magic items.

    Back to the Dungeon

Dungeons & Dragons is so much easier to work with than Various Challenging Environments & Dragons. :) I think the initial focus of the core books will be Dungeons and adventuring in them and getting to them - but that will quickly expand to include other environments for adventure in future...

    What's not fun?

Agreed. I'd also add Gnomes to that list as well as a generally not fun thing. :)

    D&D 4E WotC guys - Playtesting 4E in Canada/outside the US?

I'm in the UK, and I'd love to be involved in playtesting 4e. I suspect the feedback I'd be able to provide might not be the most helpful however, as while I'm quite excited by 4e, the rest of my gaming group aren't. That said, if feedback delivered with helpful comments like '4E is the...

Do You Have A Campaign Website? Do You Use It?

The campaign webiste was a great help for files, session summaries and updates, house rules, info on levelling options and general support stuff. Discussion forums never really took off (I'm another player who didn't really contribute to them I'm sorry to say :( ) but we are all in pretty...

Oh. So no access to any new content or anything then? Just the ability to log-in. I was expecting something more I suppose - but its a start at least isn't it :)
