Give in to your disappointment, and your frustration at the spaces on those shelves. Look to the other new books to fill those gaps, feel the true power of the new edition. Then, your journey to the dark side will be complete.....

Agreed. I was very unhappy with WOTC when they pulled the Dungeon and Dragon licences - and I was all set to dislike 4e on general principle. What we've heard so far however, and what I've seen of SWSE have me confident that 4e is probably going to be a good thing.

Agreed. But I don't think the core 3 books need to contain or be tied to a specific setting. The core 3 books are the rules - the setting(s) fluff should be provided in a seperate book(s)

Wasn't that comment specific to feat chains that could be perceived as 'not-fun' to play until you got to the pay off with the good feats at the end? I got the impression feat chains were still in in some form - but with less focus on qualifying for something great later on, and more emphasis...
