Mongoose's new RPG License - speculation?

Black Industries (the GW publishing arm) are previewing Dark Heresy, the WH40K RPG at Gencon this year - so I don't think thats the new Mongoose IP.

    Are CRPGs really role-playing games?

    Are CRPGs really role-playing games?

This was the point I was trying to make. I think NWN is most definitely an RPG - especially when played in a small group with a live DM (or DMs) rather than in a pre-scripted world. I think alot of the generalisations (including some in this thread) about CRPGs and lack of RP, and lack of NPC...

    Are CRPGs really role-playing games?

Are play by post RPGs, play by e-mail RPGs, and RPGs played using virtual tabletop/online systems - real RPGs? Is a tabletop RPG still an RPG if its played with some players at remote locations using webcams or other technology? What makes the game an RPG - the medium you play it in, or the...

Battlestar Galactica by MWP isn't D20 - it uses the same MWP developed system as the Serenity RPG.

[OGL Questions] Is Dungeons and Dragons a game?

If the game does this, then it's not just WOTC lawyers that you'll need to watch out for. Lawyers acting on behalf of McCracken and his co-conspiritors will be hot on your tail as well.

[OGL Questions] Is Dungeons and Dragons a game?

Sadly, we haven't all got a Cleverness stat (not INT) of over 100, and we aren't all Order (not LEVEL) 300+, nor do we have 300+ Steps (not RANKS) in Craft (Games) so we'll never understand the sheer genius of your totally derivative and copyright infringing highly original trainwreck project...
