Given this is all related to a promotion being run by WOTC why is it any kind of surprise that it promotes owning and using new books and the DDI and other WOTC products?

Is there an issue in certain countries or parts of the world with international S&H charges from Paizo? I'm in the UK and I've got monthly subscriptions for the AP, Chronicles, and RPG lines and buy other odds and ends all the time at the Paizo store and I've never noticed excessive S&H charges...

I've always found warm soapy water and a soft toothbrush (as recommended above) work well - followed by a rinse in clean water.
