I like this idea. I don't think class-dipping really will be an issue, but I think it means the death of twohanded weapons without some adjustment.

One can't assume feats either, so if you assume GWM, you got to assume magic items. Duelist fighting style gives great offense as well, leveling that field.

I don't see how greatsword/axe can compete with sword and board. 2-2,5 on average more damage compared to up to +5 AC difference. In a system that toutes bounded accuracy and growing rate of hit points as features, how are twohaded weapons ever thought to compete? In 3X, at least you dealt 1.5...

The dwarf entry and elsewhere it keeps referring to movement being penalized in heavy armor (as in 3.X). Nowhere however, can I find any rules on this?

Will you release the errata document in for people to do a second round? Then we can tell if our observations have been adressed.

If the books ship from the UK, won't the entire EU face import taxes, fees and what not? Since the books are printed in the EU, why not ship them from the EU?

If it's anything like Strongholds & Followers, the rules for reactions and lair actions will be in a companion volume. On the other hand, you will get a some magic items and plenty of lore about Matt's home campaign! :cautious:

You want to check out Giffyglyph's Monster Maker, which is basically a tool for making 4E 5E monsters. Even has an app. On Reddit, there's a few monsters made with this tool posted, but no published MM or siimilar, alas.

A write up of this would be awesome. It sounds really cool!

Pretty sure @dave2008 has a beefed up version of Acererak in his monster thread.

I may be in need of a powerful lich soon, so I checked out Azalin. A question: I don't understand this line. So he has 540 hp in reality (270 x 2 for being elite), he gets bloodied and activates his elite trait at 135 hp damage, meaning he can use his elite traits for 405 hp and not for 130 hp...

I'm most interested in hearing about how the merging of the APs are turning out :)
