The Fifth Element Returning to Theaters

I think of it as "Sibyl Buck's Fifth Element," but that's just me. As far as I can tell, Disney bought 20th/21st Century Fox films - not Fox Television. The difference probably has something to do with negative charges repelling each other.

    D&D 5E (2024) Unfreezing the Narrative

Oh contraire! In D&D, missing is a breath of fresh air. It's a moment when there's no decision paralysis, there are no extra dice to roll, no "however" rules to look up. No one asks, "can I miss right now?" It just happens, and life is good. Imma start calling "attack rolls" "miss checks"...

The Fifth Element Returning to Theaters

I give it two half-elven-thumbs up, for anyone who hasn't seen it. But given that lots of people have home theaters and the $2 you'd need to buy it from Goodwill, I don't see why anyone would see it in the cinema.

    D&D General Mounted Archers

Shooting from the hip here ;) but mounted archery depends on lightly armored, close-quarters-battle (CQB) foes. Like deer or footmen. Mounted archers aren't taking the type of shots that are going to penetrate armor; their focus is just getting an arrowhead in to start bleeding and break...

    Test Adventure. Brave souls wanted.

Yup. Some good ol' days, and good ol' adventures. I'll be putting at least one more actual Eamon adventure in the EAMODOS quest list, but I think EAMODOS is actually going to be capable of more than Eamon was, with additional skills, the ability to use actual dice, gem switches that can turn...

    E_GUILD_MAINHALL

Well, there's a roof on the main guild hall now! You're welcome to poke your heads in and take a look around. Let me know if it's missing any obvious adventurer activities. Also, I was thinking of commissioning a statue for the head of the hall. Since it's the ENventurers' Guild, an Eric...

    D&D 5E (2024) Infiltration with a familliar

I don't really have a problem with the rest of the party spectating. If a player is role-playing and has zero interest in seeing what his/her comrades can create, that player should be playing a video game instead.* The onus is on the GM and PC to make the spectating part interesting, though...

    D&D General Tools for PCs?

I was disparaging electric cars the other day, until I realized that some electricity does actually come from renewable sources. If only all of it did. But if manufacturing and batteries (needed to create reusable writing devices) are worse for the environment than the paper industry, that...

D&D General The Official D&D Table of Adventure

And you even set up the D&D ash trays. That's dedication! On the contrary, I'm someone who normally rails against fiddly - like using too many letters in abbreviations. But that table earns the extra T in TTRPG!

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die

I . . . might need to see this. The horde of cell-phone zombies alone would make it worthwhile. What's crazy is that I don't have to wait 6 months for the release!

So what's the deal with solo gaming?

A little late to the thread, but . . . Hey solo gamers! I'm piecing together an unsolo* game that runs on dice, a character sheet, and web browser tabs. It has the classic combat appeal of rolling dice for damage, the modern twist of a wiki that allows for unlimited expansion, and the...

    Test Adventure. Brave souls wanted.

Feeling like a solo adventure? EAMODOS has two available. And two levels of rules, too, although one of them is conversational-style. Writing official rules is an upcoming project, along with fleshing out the Main Hall. Anyway, choose your rules and quest, and stop back here with news if...

    D&D General Tools for PCs?

Tools for PCs and WotC's relationship with JK Rowling are, well, different subjects. Well, paper is made of dead trees. Trees are our last line of defense against, well, everything humans do. Cutting them down for character sheets sounds a bit criminal . . . See where this is going?

Press Solo RPG List's Weekly Roundup 19 -- Discover Solo and Duet TTRPGs

930 titles!? Where does one start? Also, what counts as a solo RPG? I ask because I want to make one that can be played solo, but can also be multi-player, and can support social activity for an  unlimited number of players.

    D&D General Tools for PCs?

Pencil and paper. Since we're digressing so hard in this thread . . . How is paper still legal? I could probably buy some Meta glasses and write/read in thin air if I wanted to. (Not that I would.)

These are the Good Days [+]

I discovered an ENWorld feature that's perfect for solo/online RPGing. It's gonna be a glorious day. (Lucky - Radiohead) @aco175 XP for Boromir. Never gets old.

What videogames are you playing in 2026?

The only "ringer" I know is from the Big Lebowski . . . Is he supposed to draw other PUBG players away from the awful squad? Or bring his dirty undies (the whites)?

    Olympics 2026 Thread

Weird that I haven't noticed this yet: "death spiral" is a figure skating move! The next death spiral thread I read is going seem completely different.
