    D&D 4E best 4e adventures?

I know this is an old one, but I was able to do a lot with Shadows of Mirahan, the Goodman 4e adventure based on the world of Frazzetta's Deathdealer. PCs have to defend against a siege of undead with a nice map of the old fortress, there's some great characters and locations, and an overall...

    LFR Epic 5-2 Release?

I was wondering if anyone had any information on when Epic 5-2 would be released. I really enjoyed the work put into Epic 5-1 and greatly anticipate using material from this next adventure in my own Epic campaign as it begins to wrap up.

D&D 5E (2014) What would you want for a *new* 5E campaign world?

I think turning the D&Disms on their head in this manner is a ripe avenue for alternate settings. Not unlike Perkin's new Valoreign with its monotheistic religion, which has some pretty huge implications for a party and a world, I believe there is plenty of design space left changing the...

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L: New Packet Hits This Wednesday

@GX.Sigma I'm referring to having both extremely broad classes like Fighter and extremely specific classes as Ranger and Paladin done well in the same game while maintaining the integrity of their mechanical design space without overlap and optimization. I think in order to guard against...

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L: New Packet Hits This Wednesday

I think he makes a fair point, the problem is we've yet to see definitively which direction Next will take. It can't take both, it really can't. Either we're getting broad classes leaning heavily on Fighter, Wizard, Cleric, and Rogue in which most other character concepts can be built through...

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L: New Packet Hits This Wednesday

I think the Paladin-Warden-Blackguard is worth a try, but I'm not sure definition by alignment is as exciting as definition by Oath. Not only would it free up alignment restrictions (is alignment still optional?), it also opens up the possibility of creating an interesting union of Power...

D&D 5E (2014) How Important is it that Warlords be Healers?

Sorry, I know this is cheeky, but with that kind of comment what else can you respond with?

D&D 5E (2014) D&DN going down the wrong path for everyone.

I'll tell you what, though, I'm learning more about past editions (and my own edition of choice) through these various Next discussions with some very knowledgeable, creative, and frustrating people than I ever did previously. In a funny way, I'm beginning to see a lot of ways in which all the...

D&D 5E (2014) How Important is it that Warlords be Healers?

I imagine your voice here exactly like angry Gene Wilder from the end of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, but you forgot to close it out with, "GOOD DAY SIR! I SAID GOOD DAY, SIR!"

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L: New Packet Hits This Wednesday

Part of me feels the team has to opt for magic, because it's one of the few, somewhat flimsy differences between a Ranger as a class and a Fighter with woodland hunter or scout-type specialties and a specified selection of feats/weapon choices which comprise the idea of a 'ranger'. I think the...

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L 3/11/2013 This Week in D&D

I don't honestly want to spend more time digging up exact quotes or anything more on the Zak subject, but that's the impression I got of him anyway. As for James, heh, $48,756 to be exact- was burned myself. In any case, maybe you're right, maybe a few 4e design teamers is enough, I just don't...

D&D 5E (2014) D&DN going down the wrong path for everyone.

Genius if it works. How do you realistically reconcile all the current factions of D&D? You don't, you use them for playtesting purposes, then leave them in the dust and start a new generation valuing your preferences. I mean what's the worst that can happen, you fail? I'm sure Paizo can afford...

    How do you design NPCs?

To be honest, I play their personalities, fudge some abilities and powers, and only when cornered in a combat or a situation where I should roll against a PC do I actually take the time to produce any kind of stats. For the most part, anyway.

    New season of D&D Encounters

I don't have the official quote on hand, but I am about 90% sure they mentioned it being available for 4e or Next.

D&D 4E Dragon 421 is up! Level-by-level Multiclassing for 4e; Dragonlance Items; Draconian!

I'd be open to trying them if I were starting a game from level one, but when two of my players asked to respec their level 24 characters using these rules I had to say no.

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L 3/11/2013 This Week in D&D

No problem. You may have to scroll back some, but if you check out his post history on RPGnet there are more than a few threads where he directly and indirectly bashes 4e design, style, art, classes, surges, settings, and I think one or two of the designers (before being hired). There's also an...

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L 3/11/2013 This Week in D&D

Zak S from D&D With Porn Stars? Ugh, he hates 4e. Great... Do you think they brought in 'representatives' from any other editions or movements? I mean the designers involved with multiple editions come in, supposedly, with an objective view to the rules, but does it at all seem odd to hire...
