    D&D 5E (2024) No 5.5 AP Yet?

I am fortunate not to have that issue with my players. It is very difficult for me to comment on RAW given that I run things very differently Characters are 15-16th level. Our table has significant changes done for TIBFs & Inspiration, Rests, HD usage, Lingering Injuries and Monsters We...

Let's talk about "plot", "story", and "play to find out."

Thank you. Okay, so I have both types in play. There is a solitary one without context to the players but I do have clues seeded in play for it to be discovered.

Let's talk about "plot", "story", and "play to find out."

I'm using several Clocks in our D&D campaign. I do not know if I'm using them how BitD uses them, but I developed a system per my understanding about Clocks on Enworld. The Clocks are player-facing with a frequency die rolled weekly/monthly (in-game time) depending and as the Clock progresses...

    D&D 5E (2024) No 5.5 AP Yet?

I agree. At this point it would be nice if the purchase of an AP got you a discount on the inevitable must-get DMs Guild guide or such related content for the respective AP. I have leaned into the black-bolded part much more for higher levels.

    D&D 5E (2024) No 5.5 AP Yet?

As a fan of AP's because I'm having success with them (at high levels) I agree that layout could improve. DiA is all over the place. :)

D&D 5E (2024) Is WOTC done publishing campaigns?

I agree with this. As a curious observer you get better information about the product from forums, youtube videos or specific RPG sites rather than from Amazon review. I mean I will look at them, but I am not expecting much. When I have used an AP, I 'almost always check out DMs Guild for the...

D&D 5E (2024) Is WOTC done publishing campaigns?

It is my favoutite 5e AP and is the cornerstone of my table's campaign (but I have incorporated many of other 5e APs and modules within the same time frame). HOWEVER it requires work, but if it's your passion to tinker and flesh out APs then it's all joy. The internet has a treasure trove of...

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I like White Wolf's take on that...the separation from Gaia drives them mad.

D&D General Friday Fun: What Are Your Top 3 Playable Species

Human (no 1 choice), Tiefling (I just absolutely love this as a concept), Orc (Warcraft) Probably Dwarf as a 4th.

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

I see. I would have to think about that as it is not something I have honestly considered. My opinion of course, but I think the predominant factor for the demographic change was a steady migration of people from other parts of the country...

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

I'm not sure if you read my second post where I state the reasons for why 2 persons (and please note I'm not a town planner, architect ...etc) so this is my layman knowledge. But to your point... I do not think the health, safety, town planning regulations etc are racist. I think that is an...

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

The purpose is to ensure, no overcrowding (as there is limited parking space), infrastructure must also be able to meet the demand (sewerage, water, garbage removal), there is the consideration of noise pollution, health (as the trash has to sit on site until collected), this general rule exists...

Goodman Games: Our Efforts Have Been Mischaracterized

I think classism many a time finds itself to be mischaracterised as racist. Don't you think? For instance, in my complex the Body Corporate rules are maximum 2 people per bedroom within an apartment (this includes kids etc). Do we suddenly label this as racist? because immigrants (PoC) are...

D&D General So how do Half-Elfs feel different to Elfs?

Oh these kinds of discussions bring about all sorts of inspiration for roleplaying content to be explored in future sessions. :)

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

It comes down to preferences and anthologies are tricky to do, as it is, not that WotC got it right every time with epic AP's either. I will give my limited perspective on things and it is limited because I have not had the luxury of acquiring all the new material. I purchased DiA and I was...

D&D General So how do Half-Elfs feel different to Elfs?

That's what I suggested under the mixed-race subheadings - purely roleplaying and physical descriptions, not mechanics.

D&D General So how do Half-Elfs feel different to Elfs?

That is a different conversation (for us). I like @DEFCON 1's approach somewhere upthread where they mentioned one can pick two human traits and two elven traits and there you go. Personally I think a write-up would also be nice on the half-races in general where ideas could be presented on...

D&D General So how do Half-Elfs feel different to Elfs?

It would be interesting to flip the script on my PCs and have the elves on the last minute quietly pull out from the Council of Waterdeep which was formed to deal with the Cult of the Dragon issue on the grounds that the elves would like to give the problem some time to resolve itself. Besides...
