    D&D 5E (2024) Predict WotC's 2026 D&D releases

I mean didn't we just get a hint of a future campaign book on these very forums (from a B&G press release)?

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

Yes? Trust me - he talks real slow. At 2x it was like normal speech to me. Plus, I gave the relevant info so you didn't have to watch. If you want the details - just watch it. FYI, up until about a 8-12 months ago I was very anti-speeding up videos. Now, 1.5x is my go to speed!

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

You can easily watch at 2x speed, so 15 min. really. There is a lot more to the video, but he charted activity on the platform (I don't know/remember how) and it clearly dropped of after the OGL issue (IIRC).

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

Someone this thread (or another on this forum) posted video recently by a person who got his start on the Guild (and loved it) and tracked its rise and decline. There are issues before the OGL fiasco, but that seemed to be a nail in the coffin. If I find the video again I will post the link...

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

Well, it looks like my memory was wrong! Here is his post on Enworld from 2023: Keith Baker asks about walking away from Eberron. KB discuss leaving Eberron

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

Do we know that though? His books on the DmsGuild have made a lot of money. I don't know what he wants to make, but people could* make a living from the Guild and no one did better than KB. *I say could because it is my understanding the OGL issue really killed sales on the Guild

WotC D&D Beyond Reveals 'Partnered Content' Schedule

I saw that post by KB and that is not exactly how I remember it.* IIRC, KB said there were (at least) 3 reasons he was moving on. To my reading, #1 was the most important: He was tired of Eberron and wanted to write other material. He didn't own the setting DMsGuild wasn't the best financial...

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

Just so you know, @FitzTheRuke owns his FLGS. So theirs is a first hand account with verifiable data.

Well, once I knew your intent it became very clear!

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

Thank you for the clarification. Just to point out how I read your post, this is what you said: "If I was trying to right a ship after a major release underperformed,..." I read the "If" as modifying "...trying to right a ship..." not the "...major release underperformed..." which I...

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

You keep saying it has underperformed, yet that is not what we have neem hearing from WotC, nor what I have heard anecdotally from retailers. So I am curious where you are getting your information from? To be clear, I don't really care one way or the other. We will be playing our homebrew...

Yep, pretty much this. I was going to reply to Retreater, but this you did better than I most likely would.

deleted - never mind, I want to move myself out of this discussion

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

You don't see the issue of condemning a writer / designer for a book she never wrote or designed for? That is a take I guess? Not one I think many should put much stock in though!

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

To clarify @FitzTheRuke's point: If you read the OP, she didn't write anything in the WotC book Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel. She wrote for a 3PP DMsGuild book Journeys Beyond the Radiant Citadel.

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

I asked how you know this? I couldn't find sales data, where did you get yours? You just ignored that question. So what should I assume: You lied and have no idea about the sales data You made a mistake other Also, you seem to be moving the goal post by suggesting having average sales is "not...

Taylor Navarro Joins Wizards of the Coast as D&D Designer

Buywhat measure? And where is your data? The big bookscan sales data we have all seems to be before this adventure. I couldn't find any data on this book. Maybe @FitzTheRuke can give us an idea how it sold at his store? It is also worth noting that In 2023 is was nominated for the Nebula Award...

Not likely to see 6e for some time. That doesn't mean there can't be a new direction / new ideas that are introduced. In fact, it is very common before an edition change.
